Had second floor right side room. It was clean, near, and well decorated. The staff was polite and professional but also personable. Only thing I would have liked to have in hotel room was an A/C unit or 2. Due to the great location, you don't need to drive anywhere only walk but when you get back and it is warm outside, the room can get quite warm. I am looking forward to another stay in June/July 2021.

The Beach House has it ALL...location, friendly & attentive managing staff, relaxing & comfortable rooms. The rooms were very well cleaned (zero concerns regarding the pandemic). If you're looking to truly get away, this is the place. We have already unanimously decided to return. The view is amazing and relaxing. Having an in-room kitchen is very convenient. The managing staff were quick to ensure we had everything we needed and were very helpful in making unexpected changes to our reservation. The beach is literally at your door and the walk into town is a short one. Not once did I need to get into my car to enjoy what Old Orchard Beach has to offer: the beach, the pier, heading downtown for ice cream, the shops, and the Playland rides for the kids.

We spent a week at the Beach House and I was not disappointed. Hotel sits at the edge of the beach and all rooms face the ocean. We stayed in room 8 and had plenty of room. The outside deck is spacious and private which was great for enjoying morning coffee to watch the sunrise or your evening meal while you watch the glow of the sunset on the beach. The bathroom was clean and the bedroom spacious with a comfortable queen size bed. Covid-19 precautions were in place by using texting and the staff were very responsive whenever we reached out to them. I will be back for my next Maine beach vacation.

the room I had was so small I had to leave most of my stuff in my car, the people on site either didn't have much knowledge of the place or couldn't speak good enough English to help with issue's or questions, only had a few of the outlets in my room worked and I had to figure out a A/C issue out myself cause I couldn't get anyone to come and look at it. The bed felt like a sheet of plywood and the pillows had no firmness at all. My overall feeling was someone was sitting somewhere and didn't care about the guest's experience or issue's they just wanted our money.

This is not The BeachHouse in old Orchard Beach Maine. This is a different location. You have posted this review in the wrong section. You continue to do that you need to straighten out something in your computer system we are not under construction we do not have foreigners running our front desk this is not our business and we definitely do not serve breakfast

1st off - there is a renovation going on at this hotel so some of our issues may be (hopefully) resolved when it s complete.
There is NO staff on property. We were texted our room numbers and the keys are in individual lock boxes with the code to open your in the text. That was a nice feature because we could just walk in and get our keys when we arrived. There is no elevator during the reno so the person in our party on the 4th floor had to carry her bags up 3 flights of stairs - no staff to help. The rooms are well appointed with seating area, nice bed and linens. Our blinds (the room had metal blinds) on some of the windows would not open and the windows were very hard to raise and lower. The bathroom is quite small with no space around the sink to have your toiletries out. The towels were nice but a couple of ours either were just stained or not replaced form the last occupant.
The location is lovely across from the ocean and there is a nice beach a short walk away. No there amenities are really walkable. After their renovation I think this will be lovely place but it did not meet our expectations this time.

My family and I just returned from a few days at OOB and The Beach House. First, the house sits right on the beach and the location could not be better. A 15 min walk to the Pier which is far enough away. My kids did not seem interested in going down( except to get ice cream once) which was fine as most shops are dirty, run down and staffed by rude employees. In general, the best part of OOB is the beach itself- clean, spacious and beautiful sunrises.
The Beach House is clean and well organized. The managers are attentive . The only down side is the noise as our room was directly below people who seemed to be either clog dancers or rearranging their room every night for hours. Rude at best especially late at night. This place has a noise curfew but this was not enforced in my case.
I would stay here again if I came to OOB for sure- I would just chose a room away from kids and loud people if possible.
I’ve been to other coastal Maine communities that I prefer more and will likely chose to spend my hard earned money

I’ve been coming to Maine for 20 plus years, this was our first time staying at The Beach House. It is by far the best place in OOB I’ve stayed at. The rooms and property are very clean and well maintained. The managers were friendly and accommodating. We had such a great time we ended up staying an extra night. Ocean front units, small outdoor patio and off-street parking. The Basement level is a studio style which was very reasonably priced. The first floor room slept 4 with amazing views. The second floor units with the private balcony and ocean views are very spacious. Will definitely be back!

Located just outside of town (35 minute walk along the beach or a 5 minute drive), this waterfront property gave my wife and I just what we needed. Although it is across the street from the ocean (some there is the occasional car driving by), sitting on the front porch with a drink or relaxing in the provided Adirondack chairs on the lawn provided a wonderful and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were a nice size, quiet, well kept and the bathrooms were just as nice. You will not be disappointed.

Went for some family fun and relaxation. The Beach House was a perfect site, right on the beach! The view was fantastic. Darryl and Angela were very friendly and helpful, whether it was something we needed or just picking their brains for what to do or where to go eat - just plain fun stuff. Everything we did was in walking distance. Rooms were very clean with kitchen and balcony. Will definitely be back!

Been coming to Old 0rchard beach for many years. It was our 50th anniversary. We had to stay close to home (caring for family member) We decided on staying at the Beach House. Excellent choice. Stayed in unit#3. Unit was clean, comfortable and inviting. First floor, large picture window. Steps to the ocean. Clean daybed to sit and read. Quiet nights to listen to the ocean. Dana (maintenance) was great. He noticed our tire was low, fixed it for us. Would not take money, for his time. Host was pleasant. Near-by if needed but giving us the privacy we needed. #1 place to stay in OOB. Looking forward to future visits.

Id call the local fire department and check with them, Id say definitely not during the popular seasons but maybe in the winter.

Check out is at 10:00 A.M. and check ins are at 2:00 P.M. even though they will allow an early check in and a later check out !!!!!
