We are from RI, my daughter & I came up this way to attend a wake. I booked 2 nights in the Acadia Suite at Wolf Cove Inn - as it a much nicer option than hotels in the area (and was close to where the service was being held ).

First off, great communication from the owners of the Inn. I requested for the A/C to be set at particular temp prior to our arrival & Nicole lmk that her husband did that right away.
They asked what our ETA was but we ended up arriving later than planned.
I was pleasantly surprised that the pullout bed was already set up & made. It was quite comfortable !

I opted to have breakfast in our room as my daughter had to start her remote work early. The wi-fi worked well, no issues with a 7am online meeting with peep in Australia ! Breakfast was yummy - loved Geoff knocking on the door saying “It’s the Innkeeper”.

Honestly, the entire experience reminded me of a Hallmark movie.

I hope to visit again soon.

I am not usually a fan of bed and breakfast accommodations but wow this was a wonderful experience! We were sent very specific instructions if we were to arrive late and when to order their "dinner" offering. By 6PM we called and advised we were going to arrive after 7 and they advised they would have our" pizza and taco dinners" ready. We arrived a bit earlier and were pleased to meet one of the owners, Geoff, who couldn't have been more gracious in getting our food prepared and helping us to our room. It was "compact" but very pleasant room with a small but well organized bathroom which has proper shelving for all one's toiletries. We are technically "challenged" but Geoff got us thru handling the A/C and the TV systems. We ate our delicious pizza and tacos facing the lake and went to bed in a room which also faces the lake: "Casco Bay". My husband felt the only amenity missing was a small fridge but not sure where it would have been positioned and I was thankful not to have to hear the off and on fridge noise. Had we needed one you apparently have access to a refrigerator located in a special location outside the room on the same floor. The bed was comfy and I found out from Geoff the soft sheets are by the "Comphy" brand which he and his wife swear by! (suggestion: why don't you sell them?) We were not enamored of the pillows but in spite of that spent two wonderfully relaxing nights. Breakfast was plentiful and served in their large dining/living room area with basic items as a "buffet" and eggs or the "specialty" of the day fixed for you upon request. The kitchen staff were all so pleasant it was a pleasure.
We were visiting our grandson at camp nearby and the Wolf Cove Inn made the trip into a perfect mini vacation away from the craziness of NYC where we live!
Would love to come back !

Hi Jacky, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review of your stay at Wolf Cove Inn! It was a pleasure to host you and Jeff, and we're thrilled to hear that your experience with us exceeded your expectations, especially given your initial hesitations about bed and breakfasts. I'm glad our instructions for a late arrival were helpful and that you enjoyed the pizza and taco dinners by the lake. It was wonderful to meet you both and assist with getting you settled into the Casco Bay room. We're always happy to help with any technical challenges, and it's great to hear you found the room cozy and well-appointed. I appreciate your suggestion regarding the fridge, and I’m pleased you took advantage of the shared fridge space nearby. As for the Comphy sheets, we're big fans, too! —definitely something we'll consider offering for purchase in the future! Thank you for highlighting our breakfast service and the warmth of our kitchen staff. We're delighted that your stay turned into a perfect mini-vacation away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. We'd love to welcome you back anytime! Warm regards, Geoff Skidmore Co-Owner, Wolf Cove Inn

My husband and I stayed here in February and it was one of the best getaways we have taken. We were able to enjoy our long weekend with our dog with 0 worry. We stayed in the Moosehead room and it was updated, spacious, and very comfortable. Even though we visited during winter, we were able to enjoy the property with throwing the ball with our dog or enjoying our morning coffee lake front in the Adirondack chairs. Both breakfast and dinner options were phenomenal each day with our favorites being the pizza and brisket ragu. The location was also great with us being able to take day trips to Portsmouth and Portland. We look forward to visiting again!

We bought the diamond package for our elopement. Very little to no communication. Let start off with our arrival.. we were offered complimentary drinks and when I told the front desk lady I could not have the beverages they offered because I was diabetic she laughed and told me I could buy a seltzer for $8. We were also informed that we could get breakfast in bed for an additional $25! Seemed a bit off since the front door to our cabin was about 50 feet and we dropped a little over $3K for the diamond package. We decided on Dunkin’ Donuts the next morning. The eagles nest cabin was nice, but there was nowhere to hang a suit or a wedding dress. I had to steam them that morning. The flowers and boutonnière we picked out and was “approved” by Nicole and the florist months prior, were not what we received on our wedding day. The flowers looked like they picked them up from a grocery store that morning. I asked for two chairs to be put aside during our ceremony, our intentions were to place photos of our moms who are in heaven, so that they could be with us on our big day. (Nicole also thought this was an awesome idea) But nothing. My husband and I were extremely excited for our wedding cake, carrot cake is our absolute favorite. It was just another let down. The cake looked like a 5 year old drew our initials on the top (did not look anything like the photos that were sent to us to pick out the cake, must of got the inspiration pictures from Pinterest) we both needed a glass of water to even swallow a single bite it was so dry. Dinner was okay, friendly staff. At this point, we were both ready to go home. But we remembered that we were going to get breakfast in bed the next morning. Well, that didn’t happen! Maybe it’s because we didn’t check off the limited breakfast items on some form at the front desk, but we probably would been charged $25 for that breakfast to be delivered. Oh I forgot! I received a phone call from Nicole to let us know that for an additional $50 we could use their new sauna! AND for an additional charge they could send us some fresh fruit and pasteries to our cabin on the morning of our wedding! Can’t believe they went the extra mile to try and upcharge us for some fruit and pasteries they probably got from the grocery store when picked up our wedding flowers. Lastly, the hotel room charge wasn’t even included in the least bit of the DIAMOND package. That was an addition to the $2,500 we already dropped for our wedding. The best part of this past weekend was that I was able to marry my best friend and I got to watch my husband catch a lot of fish.

Dear Nicole, Firstly, I want to extend our warmest congratulations on your recent marriage. It is an honor that you chose Wolf Cove Inn Bed & Breakfast for such a significant event. I deeply regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, and I am grateful for the opportunity to address your concerns. Regarding the misunderstanding about the breakfast in bed, please accept our apologies for any confusion. This service is indeed included in our wedding packages, and there is no additional $25 charge. It appears there was a miscommunication about filling out the menu in advance, which is a step we implemented to ensure a tailor-made service for our guests. I have personally followed up with our staff about the welcome drink incident, and I am disheartened to hear of your experience. Offering a Seltzer for your husband and a Diet Soda and water was an attempt to cater to both of your needs. We are already taking steps to enhance our staff training to prioritize sensitivity and understanding in all guest interactions. For the disappointment with the flowers and cake, I extend my sincerest apologies. We pride ourselves of the highest quality cakes baked in-house, along with our partnerships with a five-star rated high-quality florist, Studio Flora, and it is concerning to hear that the products did not live up to the standards we promised. Regarding the chairs for your ceremony, I see there was a significant misunderstanding for when our staff asked you Saturday morning on how many chairs would need to be set up, and for that, we offer our sincerest apologies. I understand the importance of honoring loved ones, and I am truly sorry that we did not fulfill your request. The additional offers for amenities such as the sauna access and the fruit and pastries package are intended as optional enhancements to our guests' experience, and we are saddened if this came across as an upsell rather than an opportunity to indulge. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your stay further and explore how we can make things right for you. I encourage you to reach out to Nicole and I directly at 207-998-4976 at your convenience. Thank you again for your feedback, and I hope we can move forward in a positive direction from here. Warm regards, Geoff Skidmore Owner, Wolf Cove Inn Bed & Breakfast

My wife and I stayed in the Eagle's Nest Cabin for a weekend in February, and had a great time.

We were sold on the pictures of the cabin, but actually we ended up being drawn to the main inn, too. The ground flood eating and sitting area there is spacious and comfortable, the background music is lovely, and the sun porch is a great spot to relax with a cup of coffee.

The food offerings at the inn set it apart. We had dinner there one night and were impressed by the quality of the food. The breakfasts are very good, too.

Certainly we were happy to spend time in the cabin. It's a lovely spot, especially if you're noise sensitive (we can't speak to sound insulation within the inn but the cabin was obviously silent all weekend). We were wondering if it would stay warm during a very cold weekend, and that was easy. We used the gas fireplace as, effectively, our heating source since it can be programmed to come on automatically at a set temperature. The bed, shower, and furnishings were all very comfortable for us. The cabin is right next to the lake and it's a pretty view; we are excited to stay there again in warmer months when we can sit outside admiring the view.

The owners were very nice, and I like how they are very serious about their craft and the inn, but not obsessive about rules and regulations. You know how some quaint inns can have a laundry list of rules and you can feel a little bit like you're in a museum or something. We definitely didn't feel that way here. There are two lovely dogs roaming around the main inn; we had our parents over and they were made to feel completely welcome; and we played games in the inn for a couple hours and again felt very welcome there.

Overall we were very impressed. The owners are very serious about creating a clean, beautiful, welcoming space, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will be back.

Inn owners Nicole and Geoff, and their staff, were incredibly warm, inviting and seemed to think of everything a guest would need. They reached out prior to our arrival date to see if there was anything extra needed for our stay and also provided useful tips on sight seeing and adventures/activities in the area to explore. The Inn sits directly on Tripp Lake with many of the guest rooms and dining room having direct views. The food was amazing (local and organic). Chef Kevin worked his culinary magic. The sunset from our room was incredible. It was our first time experiencing the "Fire and Ice" package the Inn offered and I have to say we loved it! Watching the sunset (viewable while relaxing in the sauna) was photo worthy. Nicole and Geoff have placed an incredible amount of time and thought in providing a very relaxing and enjoyable stay for their guests. We highly recommend and look forward to our next stay!

Wolf Cove was the perfect hideaway off the beaten path but convenient to the highway and a quick getaway from our southern Maine tourist boom. The sweeping views of Tripp Lake are calm and peaceful, making the experience that much more beautiful in itself. Our sourdough crusted pizza and farmers salad dinner in the boathouse was hard to be beat, and had we more time we would’ve been all over the outdoor spa sanctuary with sauna and cold plunge. After a great nights sleep, a perfect breakfast was waiting for us and some more blissful time spent basking in the sun before heading to nearby Pineland Farms for activities. As a lifelong Mainer, Wolf Cove Inn of 2024 is the perfect escape, welcoming all, and gives an upscale yet quintessential lakeside Maine experience. Run don’t walk!

The Wolf Cove Inn was gorgeous!! Our room was big, clean, and homey. It also had a beautiful view of Tripp Lake! The staff was all SO friendly and always made sure we were well taken care of. All of the breakfast options were delicious - I will now start making banana bread french toast since I tried it during my stay and it was fantastic. We booked in-room massages and our massage therapist was very accommodating - she brought everything she needed and even made sure she played relaxing music for us. I am pleased with all the options and amenities offered at the Wolf Cove Inn, like massages, add on packages, and so on. The owners even had a drawer full of necessities that you may have forgotten (toothbrush, toothpaste, pads, nail polish remover, etc…) which was very thoughtful.
If you are looking for a calm, quiet place to get away from the hustle and bustle of your everyday life then this is the perfect place to come and relax!

Our first visit was during a major snowstorm. What a New England inn should be. Right on Lake Tripp, a beautiful location. Hosts Geoffrey and Nicole are working hard 24/7 to make your visit. We stayed in the Acadia suite, a fantastic room, with excellent value. It has a large sitting room, a jacuzzi tub, a separate shower—super comfortable king bed. The inn decor is charming and reflects the history of the place.

The stay included a really tasty breakfast - cottage cheese pancakes topped with a strawberry compote, locally sourced maple sausage, eggs cooked perfectly, and excellent coffee. That was needed as between the winds and the 12" of snow coming down, you needed to fuel up! The inn has a very comfortable screen room where we sat and watched the snowfall. There is also a romantic boat house for two people to dine in during the spring/summer/fall season, which looks really beautiful. The staff was very hospitable, friendly, engaged, and clearly took pride in the place (and their jobs). The inn serves a dinner. My wife and I shared a garden salad that was full of seasonal veggies and very tasty. We both had the beef ragu which absolutely was amazing, the best I've ever had! We also had dessert - a locally made "sugar cookie" cake topped with buttercream frosting and a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache. Yum! The menu is small but everything on the winter menu (including a vegetable lasagna that looked fantastic and excellent pizza) was tempting. Worth a drive here for the food, better yet, include an overnight stay so you can have breakfast as well.

My husband and I came up to celebrate my 60th birthday in February. We booked the Sugarloaf Mountain room, which was the best! It had two sitting areas, both with stunning views of the lake, a gas fireplace and a Jacuzzi tub. It was a very peaceful and romantic setting.

We Also booked an hour in their oasis sauna which is located outside with a large window facing the lake. After sitting in the sauna for 15 to 20 minutes, we stepped outside into 17° winter weather and it was amazing!

The staff and the owners, Nicole and Geoff, were all very friendly and accommodating. Each morning we had a delicious breakfast in the dining room. It was a very relaxing getaway, and we highly recommend the Wolf Cove Inn.

It depends on what type of getaway you are after. If it's to decompress and get away from the city and don't need to be entertained every minute, this is the perfect place. I tend to make my own fun, kayaking, fishing, hiking etc so Wolf Cove Inn is wonderful for this. Btw, a 20 minute drive to a restaurant isn't problematic for me. Sometimes it takes 20 minutes to go 4 miles where I live. All in all, WCI has it all.
