This is a lovely campground, quiet with nice sized level lots and a great swimming pool. Awesome, friendly staff.

Unfortunately the showers aren’t very nice or particularly clean. No exhaust ventilation so stays wet. The roads and sites are sand and it sticks to everything.

We had a splendid time but need better shower facilities.

Very nice family and dog friendly place. Just spent 3 nights and totally enjoyed our stay! The beach area is lovely and the water is very clean! My only complaint is the walk UPHILL to the restrooms! A portapotty or 2 would be helpful for the sites closer to the water.Food at the snack cart was very good and the pool was just cold enough that the kids took a dip and were ready for the pond.Nice people and very quiet.

We stayed here for a week . The RV sites are spacious . The camp is under new ownership and many areas are being upgraded . The bathrooms are clean enough but older .. a shower costs 25 cents for 7 minutes with plenty of pressure and hot water. Lots of roads and trails to walk. A nice boat launch area to Lower Range Pond. Bring your own boat or rent a canoe or kayak. Check out the eagle nest on the island in the pond . The owner and staff are friendly and attentive . The pool was well maintained. We will come back here again.

We chose this campground to stay for a week because it was close to my sister and her family. Unfortunately there is a $10 per person day use fee just to have them come in to our campsite for a cookout and visit. They justified the charge by saying our guests would be able to enjoy the amenities the campground offered. They would not have come to the camp if we had not been there because there is nothing there that interests them besides visiting us. The campground is very dark at night which made it difficult to navigate the hills and curves and avoid the washouts and potholes. They only have a few spots for campers as big as ours. The rest of the park is suitable for tents. The prime spots on the top of the hill are crammed in pretty tight and appear to be seasonal spots. They had a band set up on top of the hill behind our camper on Saturday night. The noise was so loud it was unbearable. Fortunately the power went out at 9:30 pm. Of course then we had to switch on our water pump so we could have water and nothing else worked. I will not return to this campground.

We just stayed for 6 nights. The weather was horrible but not their fault :) I loved that they had plenty of activities planned all day. We have 3 kids, ages 13,9,7 and they couldn't get out of the camper fast enough in the morning to go to all of the activities and stayed out all day. The pond is beautiful and the bald eagle nests are beautiful. We have a son with Autism and the staff and other children were so great with him that he was all smiles all of the time. They were all asking if we could be seasonals on our way home. The only thing I would give one star too is the separately run food truck. It is very overpriced for the amount of good that you get. The fried dough is good but we ordered chicken fingers and French fries for $6 and we got 1 1/2 chicken fingers and about 15 French fries. It was ridiculous.

This is actually not a review of the campground - it's a review of the Poland Mining Camp just down the road which is one of the attractions that brings many people to this campground ( However, we have camped here in the past and it is a GREAT CAMPGROUND!) If you are camping here because you're going to the Poland Mining Camp, we can't recommend it highly enough if you're a rockhound. They have guides who take you to 3 different mines on 3 different days and they can identify any mineral specimens that you can find. It's a flat fee to go and you can stay for 6 hours and you're sure to fill buckets with really nice specimens. Kids would LOVE Mount Mica as the ground is literally sparkling with flakes of mica and they don't have to dig to find neat rocks. There are pretty ones everywhere!!! Camping at Poland Springs campground and rockhounding for a day or two would make an AWESOME summer vacation for a family who loves the outdoors!.

Only nice part about this campground is the lake!... PSA... the office actually told me they don't refund even if you have COVID! They just ask you to stay at your site,... what about using the bathrooms and showers though? I wonder if the CDC would agree with this practice?!

Pros:
1. the lake itself is beautiful
2. Great activities for kids, lots of planned things for them to do.
3. You can drive (be careful, go very slow on the bad roads so you don't damage your vehicle or hit the orange painted tree stumps in the middle of the road!) to the lake and park near it.

Cons:
1. There is no beach at all, not even a spot to put a chair near the water.
2. The roads are HORRIBLE! Big ruts, sharp turns (hard to maneuver an rv) huge tree roots.
3. Its on a hill so walking or bike riding is all hilly.
4. Only ONE dump station and you end up blocking the road to use it.
5. Sites are very small and close together
6. Only two bath houses with 3 stalls and 2 or 3 showers. Lights shut off automatically at night leaving me in the pitch black.
7. Very noisy, lots of kids, noisy from 7 am till late at night.
8. Prices are high, especially for what it is.
9. Sites are not graded right, it rained and we flooded so badly that our outdoor rug/mat was floating!
10. They didn't clean the site before we arrived (check in time is late too, 2 pm! So they had time!) we had cigarette buts and food on the ground at our site, see photos...

Not for us, we thought we'd try a place closer to home but I'd rather drive further and have a nicer place to stay!

We rented a camper at Poland Spring Campground for a week and loved it. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The facilities are well maintained and very clean. There are activities for all ages. Our favorite was trivia night. I have stayed at other campgrounds and found Poland Spring Campground to be our favorite. We plan on making this an annual vacation. Great place to camp!

This place is a hidden gem. It was clean and has nice big campsites. It was the best camping experience with fresh water lake or a nice swimming pool. Fishing and boating and they even had a Halloween weekend that was a big hit with my kid. Would highly recommend it.
