Everyone was so welcoming and helpful! We called and they not only suggested a great restaurant to try, they were wonderfully helpful by making the reservation for us! The rooms had that New England charm to them and were very clean. We even had delicious chocolates on our bed at night. The breakfast the next two mornings were spectacular and...

We were hoping for a quiet, romantic weekend with a bit of old New England charm, and that is exactly what we got at the Danforth Inn. Our room, the Eastern Promenade, was so quaint and cozy, and having a fireplace topped it all off. Besides our room, the the billiards room was our second favorite spot in the Inn....

There aren’t enough wonderful things to say about the Danforth. We really enjoy Portland, and we decided to stay the entire weekend this time around for a romantic getaway. From the moment we arrived we were treated both graciously and respectfully by Bret and Ibby, who were each friendly and very personable. The morning of our arrival I received a...

Excellent Service from the moment we approached the door. The door was opened form the inside. We were offered help with our luggage and an umbrella. This excellence continued our entire visit. Breakfast every morning began with a personalized menu. Each menu had our name on it. We were also offered other options for breakfast. Every meal was excellent. Every...

The Danforth Inn felt like our home away from home. Brett is incredibly accomodating and knowledgeable about the area; he suggested two restaurants for dinner that were both fabulous and within an easy stroll of the inn. The inn itself has great character with a billards room in the basement and an accessible widows walk with nice views of the...

I took my boyfriend here for a weekend getaway and I don't have enough nice things to say about the room, the staff, and the charm of the house in general. I used an Amazon deal to get the room, and figured we'd get the short end of the stick since I was using a coupon, but we didn't. We...

The Danforth Inn is one of the most beautiful homes in the West End of Portland. The interior is graceful and charming, and boasts some gorgeous architectural details. Recently purchased by the owners of the Camden Harbour Inn, a Relais & Chateau property, the Danforth is a lovely place from which to explore the city. It is situated in a...

My wife and I stayed here and we can't say enough about the helpfulness of the staff. They were very accommodating to our every need, dietary requirements were carefully worked around and we had a wonderful stay throughout. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting an experience different than a chain hotel, you will get it here. The rooms...

Great location, helpfull staff, beautiful property. Stayed with my husband three times in the winter season. New owners, same relaxing atmosphere. Nice place to unwind, easy walk to bars, shopping and restaurants. This trip was girls shopping and drinking but being 50 something we wanted a quiet, beautiful, and well kept place. Absolutely perfect..can't wait for a romantic weekend with...
