My friend and I traveled up the coast of Maine, stopping at four B&Bs along the way; Pomegranate Inn was our first. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere was friendly, relaxed and comfy. Our room was spotlessly clean and cozy with very comfortable twin beds (which we requested). We arrived early and parked on the street, which is...

If you're looking for a not-so-average b&b, this is a great place. It has all of the warmth of a regular bed and breakfast, but every room has its own charm and decor. We stayed in room 1 and loved it. The breakfasts are very different but delicious; not your run of the mill eggs and toast. There were little...

We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights stay. The Inn is charmingly eclectic, with great attention to detail. The location is ideal for exploring the bustling arts district including the Portland art museum, with its wide ranging collection of American and European art. As has been said many times, Dana's breakfasts are amazing - works of art in their own right. There...

We truly enjoyed out stay at the Pomegranate Inn. I wasn't sure about the location, but it turned out to be fantastic. You are in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to local restaurants and bars and great architecture. We had one of the rooms with our own courtyard which was enjoyable. The breakfast was STUNNING! and delicious :-) I would...

This was our first visit to Portland. We had a wonderful 2 days. The Pomegranate is located in a delightful quiet old neighborhood on the west end of the city, with wonderful art work adorning the walls and spaces. Our room and bath (Room 4) were good sized. My only minor criticism was that no hand/body lotion was included with...

I usually stay in hotels, so I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of what felt like three rooms, all to myself. This was not the most expensive room in the inn, yet I had a large bedroom and sitting area plus a bathroom, all with views over a quiet neighborhood and its treetops. The bed was very comfortable, the...

This was an amazing inn! My husband and I have stayed at many B&Bs around New England and this was by far the most fun and unique. We were in Portland for our son's wedding and other family and friends were also staying at the Pomegranate. Set amid gorgeous old homes in the west end of the city, we all...

This inn was in a lovely area of beautiful Victorian homes in Portland and this inn is one of them. We stayed in the Carriage House in a nice room with private patio and a fireplace. The inn is uniquely decorated so take time to view everything in the public areas. We were celebrating our anniversary and were surprised by...

Love, love, love this place! Our room was whimsical, spacious, and well-furnished with a loveseat, side chair, and desk. The breakfast was sweet and beautiful (decadent blintz with three fruit sauces artistically arranged on the plate). The B&B accommodated my special diet beautifully. Most importantly, I had made a mistake and accidentally booked one fewer night than we needed. Although...

The Pomegranate Inn is a special kind of Inn. The Victorian house is welcoming and has lots of art to admire. Our bedroom was sunny (big windows), spacious, nicely decorated. It had a fire place, a comfortable bed and plush pillows (the A/C was a little noisy but did not disturb our sleep). Dana and Greg are superb inn keepers,...
