The Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Maine is praised for providing spacious and impeccably clean suites with quality bedding, which many guests appreciate. Although some find the room layouts unconventional and the bathrooms compact, the hotel's atmosphere is often described as modern and welcoming. Its location near the airport is appreciated by guests for convenience without the disturbance of plane noise.
The hotel's service garners applause for its friendly and efficient staff, particularly noted during the complimentary breakfast and evening receptions. While the value is recognized by some as cost-effective, others caution about additional parking fees.

Detailed Reviews
We were planning a weekend in Portland and initially intended on staying in Old Port/Downtown until I saw the prices of those hotels. Nothing was less than $500 a night. I was able to book Embassy Suites for $350 a night. I'm so glad we booked this hotel.
The gentleman who checked us in was super friendly and very helpful explaining all the perks to us. We were not charged for parking. He informed us of the managers reception which takes place nightly for a couple hours (I forget the exact hours) where you are entitled to two free drinks per person, per night. They also have various snacks set out. The free drinks include well drinks, a couple of house wines, and some domestic draft beers.
The rooms are spacious and clean. It is a two room suite with one room being a sitting room and the other being the bedroom. Strangely for the room being so large, the bathroom is quite small. The shower is very small and there is a bar installed in the worst location. I don't know how many times I hit my elbow on that bar while showering because the shower is so tight. The wheels on the shower door can use some greasing as well. Very loud when opening and closing.
The breakfast was probably the best free hotel breakfast I've ever had! It includes an omelette bar which also offers made to order eggs. There was a good variety and everything was fresh and delicious. Bacon was crispy which I love. Coffee was good too. The staff makes sure everything is replenished and clean, quickly clearing your plates off your table for you.
I was concerned being right next to the airport that noise, in particular planes, was going to be an issue but it wasn't. It must be a very small airport because we barely heard any planes coming in or out. At least not late at night or early in the morning. We didn't spend much time in the room during the day.
It was a very short drive to downtown and definitely worth the cost savings. We parked at Top of the Old Port Parking, 119 Pearl St where parking is $20 for all day and only a couple block walk to everything. Parking on and near Commercial St was $17 for the first two hours and $9 an hour after that. Another perk to the parking lot on Pearl st was avoiding a lot of traffic.
I highly recommend this hotel and I would absolutely stay here again if in the area.

Hotel's Favourite
We were “stuck” at the Portland, ME Jetport after flights were canceled throughout the northeast.
We were able to get a room at the last minute.
This was our first time at an Embassy Suites. We were greeted by Adam who couldn’t have been nicer. As a gold member we were given a gift bag with lots of info including a voucher for free drinks. He gave us advice for gas stations nearby++.
Our room was great with a sitting area and large TV with a frig and microwave. The lighting outside the bathroom where the sink was located was great for putting on makeup and blowing out hair. Many amenities were there.
The separate bedroom was compact but had a great TV and a closet to accommodate one’s clothes.
The next morning we were in crisis mode, as our flight was changed again. Rosemarie at reception came to my rescue. She gave me excellent advice, held the room in case the flight was canceled again, and called the shuttle driver to bring me immediately to the airport.
I beat the crowd, got boarding passes, and she sent the driver back for me so I could enjoy breakfast with my husband.
If in Portland again and need a hotel by the airport, I will return.

Stayed here twice, a week apart on both ends of a trip. Used the Park Stay Fly deal. Amazing. For slightly higher room rate we could leave our car for a week at no extra charge. Lovely clean spacious rooms. Wonderful hot breakfast included, with meat, potatoes, eggs, pancakes, bread and pastries, fruit, and made to order omelets. Shuttle to and from airport. Exceptional staff: everyone was so friendly and helpful, from the reception desk to the chef and kitchen staff, to the shuttle drivers, etc. Well done! Highly recommend. We stayed in winter during a time of several snow events. Staff moved the cars and plowed the lot, so when we returned we did not have to shovel out. That was a huge relief!

Embassy Suites by Hilton adjacent to the Portland Maine Jetport provides comfort and convenience.
Suites rooms (with two Queen beds) are comfortable but the a/c is quirky and can be hard to set and is noisy.
Restaurant provides good dinners after 5 pm and two free drink Happy Hours from 5-6 pm.
Free breakfast available to guests.
Parking advertised as free costs $13 daily.
All of this comfort and convenience will cost almost $500 per night after taxes, fees, parking and room rate.

Walking in you’d think you were in Boston or NY. Front desk was a blessing after a 3 hour drive getting us smoothly into our room not even blinking an eyes about our service dog. The extremely spacious room was extremely clean and reminded us of our rooms in Honolulu with the quality bedding and toiletries. Breakfast was exceptionally made to order by an amazing chef named Joe. 10/10 recommend to friends and family when coming up to Portland.

Check-in was smooth and we were offered bottles of water with Hilton Honors Silver. The room on the 6th floor had high ceilings, and adequate counter and desk space. The extra sink in the main area is convenient. There were an ample number of towels in the bathroom, and hand soap is in a large pump on the wall. The hotel has a 24-hour shuttle, and coffee available in the lobby very early in the morning. We took advantage of the evening reception and the morning breakfast. We were comfortable watching a football game there the evening before our flight, and would recommend a stay.

We spent our first night out of a weeklong stay here at Embassy suites and so far have been more than impressed. The staff is super helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was out of this world and the omelette station was particularly good! Joe was really great and made creative, fiesta shrimp omelette filled with fajita, seasoned shrimp, spinach, tomatoes, and cheese. When I got to the omelette station, the person in front of me had gotten the last of the shrimp, but then Joe remembered that he had a little bit extra and was able to make me an amazing omelette. It was a great way to start the day very pleased so far.

We were very happy with our Suite - having the room with tv, refrigerator, microwave and wet bar and desk with a door that can be closed to separate it from the sleeping area is awesome! The bedroom with TV and bathroom close by was very nice too. The shower and toilet is in one little room and then the sink with very brightly lit mirror and lots of space for items was very good. I was able to get up very early and do my work in the living room area while the family slept in the other room, and I did not disturb them.
The COVID restrictions required a modification in the breakfast service, but the breakfast sandwiches and cold items were abundant and tasty. We did not use any of the other amenities, but I am sure they are nice.
I was concerned that due to the proximity to the airport, that the hotel would be noisy, but that was not the case.

Spent 10 nights at the Embassy Suites at the Portland Jetport. I selected a room on the top floor - 6th. Super high ceilings and a 2 room suite with its own bedroom with a King size bed and TV. Shower no tub and it took a few minutes for the hot water to come out. Microwave and mini fridge. Remember I’m cleaning was offered several times during my stay, but not every day. The front desk had extra toiletries if you needed them. There is a laundry room on the 4th floor that only uses debit or credit cards.
They include a hot breakfast buffet, including made-to-order omelettes. In the evening there is a happy hour with snacks and 2 beverages. I only went down once and all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Next to the front desk is a small selection of drinks, candy and snacks.
In some of the reviews a hot tub and sauna were mentioned, but those two items were removed during the latest remodel according to the front desk.
Friendly staff. Would definitely return to the hotel.

Great place to spend a few nights. It’s spacious and modern, pet friendly, centrally located. Breakfast was average. I had two issues with it. One, they clean the breakfast area while people are eating and they no longer have the happy hour/ meal in the evening even though the prices are high.

They are blaming it on COVID, but I've overheard two employees while staying here explain to other staff that due to the super low rates right now, amenities have been reduced.
