Room was disgusting. Spiders all over the outside veranda ceiling and some came in the room when we came in. Big clump of hair was on the floor where you walk in. Table chairs were stained and dirty. Shower curtain was stained. Bed blankets had stains that looked like blood. Thermostat was hanging off the wall. Bathroom plug had no plate around it And heater was in pieces. Bathroom floor was dirty. Could not get on wifi until following day and had to go near office to connect. Was shocked that the board of health hadn’t shut them down!! I have pics if anyone interested.

I wish I would’ve just left and went somewhere else. But it was late and I was tired. I also noticed a No Refunds sign in the office. I guess they have been asked for refunds before. So, I made the best of it that I could which was hard. I tried hanging out outside but a group below me was booming music. The tub was dirty with no shower head so I just took a bird bath. I left at the crack of dawn to get out of there as fast as I could.

Garbage was leftover, debris under the beds, in the "kitchenette", and the shower had the hair of the last occupants mingling with the soap scum. The owner was informed, and the response was she would speak with housekeeping. The heated pool was freezing, the hotels hot water was a joke and so was the noise level. The beds are rock solid and the room reeked of not only past people, but the nicotine residue was atrocious.

We recently stayed at Exit 5 Motel and Cottages in August. I'll try to make this short. the room was advertised as a kitchenette, it was not. The room was supposed to be smoke free, it reeked (there was a plug in in the room to help mask the smell). We had the corner room closest to the road, which meant we were next to the dumpster, someone missed the dumpster and trash was everywhere. The shower had not been cleaned, the faucet handle was broken and dangling over your head, and there was mold all over the curtain. The previous occupant's garbage was still under the sink and there was food under the bed left over from goodness only knows when. I'm talking a full order of wings from Domino's type food.... When I confronted the owner, he was not helpful at all and in the end he only refunded us $20. Yeah, I would not go back, ever...

We rented a cabin at Exit 5 Motel and Cottages to celebrate a Birthday The cabin was clean and had a stocked kitchen The grill and picnic table came in very handy The owners were polite and very helpful We needed extra parking spaces and they were provided in the visiting parking area We first thought we would need one extra but ended up needing two extra and they met our needs The price for our cabin was very reasonable for the area Especially for a Holiday weekend We were able to use Uber to get us down to the beach and it only cost $8.00 The only downfall was the internet service It was very slow but it was only a minor inconvenience The night was very quiet which was a little surprising because there were many motorcycles staying there We were happy and satisfied with our stay at Exit5 and will be staying again next year
