The Sand Dollar is a small, family owned and operated hotel that offers large, spotless rooms, with two double beds and mini kitchens, in a wonderful location at a tremendous price. The Sand Dollar is located in the Pine Point area of Scarborough, Maine and has near direct beach access...a five minute walk from the door to the waves on...

The Sand Dollar Inn is a wonderful find! With just six rooms, it is quiet -- no loud music or r late-night TV! The rooms are roomy, airy, and immaculate, with 2 extra-long double beds per room. Take a front room for a small surcharge and enjoy the ocean view from the porch. WiFi, TV, ceiling fans, big fluffy towels....

Clean, quiet, spacious rooms, very close to the beach. Great porch, good restaurant for breakfast right in the motel and right around the corner from Bayley's Lobster Pound. Very low key. Perfect for families with kids. Friendly management and housekeeping staff. Recommend!

The Sand Dollar Inn is almost as close to the beach as you can get. It's got everything you need, you can park your car here and walk to the beach or to The Clambake, the Salty Bay takeout place, or Rising Tide at the Fisherman's Coop on the point, for lunch or dinner. The Nestling Duck gift shop (with...

I took my family there ( 3 daughters and wife) and was very surprised at how clean and well decorated the place was. The small kitchin area provided a small fridge for drinks, and the stove would have been fine if needed.Their breakfast was outstanding, and provided fast service too. We also appreciated that we escaped the train noise that...

The entire place has not been updated for many years. So what! Everything has been well maintained and it's one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. My wife joked and said that the bathroom floor was so clean that one could eat of the floor. The ocean can be heard but new construction blocks most of the view....

After some trepidation over 2 reviews of this motel, we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. I will add that 3 other reviews had been positive. From the outside the motel is as neat and well-cared for as can be. Lily, her husband and their dog, Lucy, were so pleasant and helpful that we felt right at home. Parking was...

It's our second year at the Sand Dollar Inn. Would recommand without a doubt. (Although the kitchenette is very small, and takes forevever to boil water or cook something because the burners don't get that hot) it's a peaceful place in Pinepoint. Beach is across the street and not crowded like the one in the pier area. Very clean and...

The Sand Dollar Inn was the perfect place for a first trip to Maine. My mom and I like to walk. Each morning we walked from Scarbourgh to Old Orchard Beach stopping at the shops along the way. We ate lunch at the Boardwalk and walked back along the shore. We had rooms on the Ocean side and met some...

Lily dosent have anything to worry about.....esp that nasty Lighthouse Inn across the way ....Lilys was absolutely perfect by us. My sisters family and mine stayed in 2000, following the deaths of my husband and our mother. Then again in 02 we returned the same excellent hospitality! We had the most enjoyable time of our 40+ years of traveling to...

“I would choose a room (three available) on the ocean side if I had the chance. The back four rooms are fine, too, and cheaper, but they might be a little hot (no A/C, no cross breezes) if the weather is hot.”
