Clean campground, at check in the staff was very friendly. After that I didn't get 1 hello or good morning. As far as dog friendly, it is if you have a tiny dog that doesn't bark. We were constantly told to quiet our dogs, well...More

Ok so usually it would take a lot for me to give a bad review but for being so called "dog" friendly I STRONGLY disagree! Very rude about dogs barking the USUAL bark, like when someone walks by or they are startled, these are COMMON...More

I was very excited about this park - and it lived up to all expectations except for how crowded we felt and it was a little pricey.

More of a comment really...i am a dog lover & dog owner, but a campground is NO PLACE for barking dogs. For that reason, we always board ours when we camp. Yes, we miss her, but we wouldn't inflict that on others. If you have strict dog policies, that makes me WANT to stay there...which we might try & do memorial wknd if you aren't booked

My wife and I have lived with a dog in our families since being young children so we know how important it is to have them along on family adventures. To make that work in a campground we ask that pet owner's are diligent in the management of their animal by keeping them with them and leashed at all times, not allowing uncontrolled barking, always cleaning up after them, only bringing them if they are friendly towards others and carrying their vet.papers along.
To help with these policies we have an enclosed dog park, miles of trails and beach to exercise your dog so they can be relaxed with the family back at the site. I know I've been called prickly on occasion when asking pet owners to better manage their dogs. It is tricky to balance the pleasure/ comfort of others with the behavior of your/ our loved, very special dogs. But we'll keep trying to make it the best we can for everyone so that we can remain a dog friendly park without disrupting the vacations of non-pet owners.
Thank you for letting us know your concerns,
