I called the inn to check on rate and availability and told them we were about two hours out. I did not make a reservation because it appeared there were plenty of vacancies since it was mid-week. However, when we got there at 10 minutes to five, there was a note on the locked office door saying to call if you needed assistance. It was the same number I had called. When I reached a lady, she told me they were on dinner break and would not be back for another half hour. I told her I was at the office door wanting to check in, but .....it would be another half hour. I found accommodations elsewhere. I NEVER!!

So sorry for your experience and I really appreciate your review. We have taken pride in this motel since our recent purchase and this review is disheartening. The manager has been let go and we feel we have much better management in place. Please mention this review on your next visit and we will give you 1 night free. Im confident your next experience will be a good one!

It was late, we were extremely tired and needed a place to stay. $55 for the night plus tax.

We checked in; in the cigarette smoke filled lobby with the aggressively friendly dog greeting me, then made our way to the room.

Room wasn't too clean and needed a lot of updating but hey, we got what we paid for. Looks like they make a fair amount of business by renting out rooms on a weekly basis.

Bed was not comfortable, pillows had shams that matched the comforter, but no pillow cases. Do they wash the shams each time? Who knows but the sheets had a fine coat of light sand on them. It was a little chilly so we turned up the heat...that did not work. No blanket on the bed either, just the sandy sheets and the comforter.

Tried to take a shower and let the water run for 15+ minutes...but no hot water ever came. Although, we tried the next morning and we finally did get the hot water and plenty of it. Maybe it's just not turned on at night?

Would we stay here again? Probably not, unless we were desperate. We have no regrets on stopping though. We were just extremely tired, needed a place to get some sleep and slept pretty good despite the accommodations.

The good points: The roof did not leak, plenty of tv channels and was quiet.

No phone in the room but most people have cell phones these days. It did have a small flat screen television with plenty of cable channels. One remote to turn it on and run the volume. Another remote to change the channels.

I tried to book a room 1 week in advance and as told to call back a few days before I needed the room. I can't wait until the last moment to see if I have a room. You either have a room for the date I need or you don't. I have family in the area and thought I would give it a try. Evidently they don't know how to book so I am done with this place.

Great place with friendly, prompt service. Weekly rate was very affordable and rooms were clean. Staff suggested places in the area to dine and shop. Internet service worked well. TVs in the room were nice as well.

If you want some advice, go elsewhere. We stopped at around 9:30pm and we were exhausted.
I asked for non smoking room because my husband and son both have asthma and allergies. Night clerk ,who by the way was not very polite and didn't want to bother with anyone assured me it was a non smoking room. I thought it was a little pricey for a motor inn of its appearance but my husband and son said take it. The room reaked of stale cigarette smoke!! The sheets were all stained, mattresses were really bad. Falling apart, caved in to the middle and the twin bed squeaked every time my son even moved an inch!!! I went back to the office, rang the bell and waited again for a response. I informed the night clerk that the room reaked of smoke and she said that no one should have smoked in that room!! Well, believe me more than one occupant had smoked in there!! She gave me some frebreeze which I sprayed periodically all night so my husband and son could get some sleep. Bathroom shower was dirty, the curtain on the bathroom window was a dirty towel.Next time, we will look for a motel on the computer first and read the reviews before picking one.6-17-2012.When we go back in July, we will not stay here!!!

We chose this hotel because we could not get a room nearby (30 minutes away) because of a homecoming. The motel has not been up-dated since the 1950s, and everything was bolted down.
The owner was nice, but she insisted we pay both nights ahead of time. The first morning, there was no hot water which was blamed on the person who had come in to fix the furnace. The owner never offered a refund. The beds were comfortable enough, but the room was not as clean as it should have been -- needed dusting. The washroom was clean and the room had a microwave and refrigerator. Although this motel is on the main street, it was quiet.
Unless you cannot find any other place to stay, I would avoid this one.

I had a great stay at the Paris Inn Motel, looks like they've made a lot of upgrades to the place since my last stay and the motel staff is certainly on their game this time around! The location is perfect for every time i'm in South Paris. Thanks again!
