I travel about 90-100 nights a year and stay in the Hilton chain of hotels. The Hampton Inn in Rockland is a simple hotel that is clean and has a great location. Only drawback would be dining choices but otherwise a nice spot.
My husband and I checked in for a two day stay on Friday, Oct. 26. We were volunteering at Owls Head Transportation Museum's fall auction next day. Staff was welcoming, room comfortable and clean, and breakfast next morning plentiful and good. Pleasantly surprised to find toaster…
Extremely pleasant and attentive staff. New facility that is being well maintained. Easy access off of Hwy 1. Extremely clean and well appointed. I would recommend this facility to anyone requiring accomodations in the Rockland/Waldoboro area.
Cleanliness and a friendly staff are consistent for all Hampton Inns that I have stayed at. The free breakfast saves time on those rushed mornings and the overall quality of the food is very good. Love the free coffee that is available 24 hours.
This was the typical Hampton experience for the most part, clean room, attractive hotel, comfortable bed, nice variety breakfast. The only negative was the young man at check in. We checked in at 4:30 p.m. and my husband (a trim, healthy 60 something man) asked about the cookies…
"Get a room on the west side (back of the hotel) to avoid street noise"
"We stayed on the fourth floor. Quite, clean!"
"Ask for top floor on the backside of the hotel"
"Not sure the front desk would respond if requested"
"Rooms in the back face away from the main road so less noise."
