Just had an excellent stay at the Lathones Hotel. I was on business in St Andrews and the hotel was a convenient distance with free parking. The room was lovely as was the dining and bar area. All the staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. The food was something special. I think the menu changes with the seasons...

The Inn at Lathones is a quaint inn near St Andrews. There are different types of rooms so if you want luxury you should book one of the deluxe room which have excellent views of the countryside. Also the bathroom is very spacious with a jacuzzi bath and mood lighting. These are a bit extra but worth it. The food...

I stayed two nights in a standard room (3 the smithy) very comfortable bed, linen and pillows, The room was in the courtyard on the back of the hotel, so was not bothered with road noise. Everything very clean and well serviced. The pub and restaurant are great, fantastic choice of Spirits and Ales. The service is spot on, relaxed...

Stayed here for one night. Very friendly staff but room very disappointing. Incredibly noisy with traffic noise until late into the night and again early morning. Very uncomfortable squeaky bed. The bathroom was very unpleasant with black damp marks in the ceiling. More reminiscent of a hospital bathroom than hotel. Dinner was very pleasant and breakfast surprisingly good. However experience...

Stayed here for one night rooms are cute with log burners in each but could do with a little tlc in places, same with the restaurant and bar area. Staff friendly enough and breakfast was nice. About 10 mins in a taxi to St Andrews centre around £12 :-)

Drove 500 miles from London to Scotland to visit St. Andrews university. My assistant felt it would be better to find a hotel with parking a couple miles outside the town, as we would be arriving late. So it was really a case of 'bed to sleep in'. The property is a period inn, but nicely upgraded with mod cons....

This 400-year-old inn is in the countryside (not walking distance to any shops, cafes or businesses) surrounded by fields, farms, horses, cattle and sheep and residential neighborhoods. It's beautiful. Buses show up regularly just down the road in either direction. Breakfast here is a treat, with the usual continental fare and Scottish "full" on offer. Dinners are delicious, and the...

Nice Inn, 3 star according TIAL, not the 4 star accomodation by Booking.com. Despite the beds are a bitt short the quality of the matras is good. The shower has low water presure. The quality of the window frames are poor, if you would like to turn off the heating in the bathroom a handyman with a tongs is needed...

Together with some family members I spent 4 days at this charming location outside St Andrews and cannot praise the hotel or its staff highly enough. On arrival we received a proper Scottish welcome at reception and were then shown to our rooms which were absolutely delightful. We were in Rooms 18, 20 and 21 and spacious is an apt...

This is a very old property and at first glance may seem tired. It isn't and provides excellent rooms that are very quiet. The bar area is quaint with a decent range of drinks. There are two dining areas. The main is comfortable and good for parties of 4 or more. The other is a converted stable with only 2...
