We stayed at Bear Mountain Inn one night last weekend, and wished it had been for a longer duration! The accommodations and breakfast were great, but what really made the place special was its environment. Walking on the frozen lake, playing in the hot tub under the stars while it was snowing, and just relaxing around the fireplace while reading...

Pack your bags and don't forget your long johns. The Bear Mountain Inn is a fabulous place for a winter getaway. Jim and his daughter, Baby Liam, and the dog Izzy are the best innkeepers I have ever met. Their home became our home for the weekend. The room was spectacular. The scenery was awesome the french toast for breakfast...

My boyfriend and I went to Bear Mountain Inn to celebrate my birthday and Valentine's Day. The attention to detail was striking as we explored the little Sugar Bear Cottage upon our late-night arrival. We quickly made a fire (the wood and kindle was ready to go so the fire was super easy to start & there is NOTHING like...

They took care of so many details - including securing agreat caterer for our event. I am so happy I had my wedding...

We just returned from a weekend getaway to the wonderful bear mountain inn - The fact that all the reviews here are rated excellent speaks for itself. This is a rambling old inn, with abundant charm, in a lovely setting. What really makes this place special are the in-keepers - we did not have much interaction with Kristie (I imagine...

I was so grateful for a B&B that welcomed children! There are also two "honeymoon suites" for people wanting peace and quiet. The innkeepers were so friendly and down to earth. The rooms are comfortable, some small, others spacious. Most are decorated with a blend of old-fashioned charm and modern style. The grounds are very attractive, with canoeing, hiking, and...

Everything about the Bear Mountain Inn is just perfect. From the hosts, to the breakfast, grounds and rooms, you cant ask for more. It is one of the hidden gems of Maine. My husband and I recently eloped there, and I can honestly say, I would not have changed a thing. I cant wait to go back and visit, and...

My girlfriend and I spent two days here to relax and let go of our tension before I deploy to Iraq for six months. We succeeded! Jim and Christie were fabulous hosts! The grounds are beautiful, especially in the fall. We conoed, took walks and some times just read in the sunshine. Our room room, the Great Grizzly, was the...
