We stayed twice this summer: in July &August. Wonderful stay! Jan & Barb are the perfect hosts who make your visit memorable. Do make a reservation for one of their special dinners- delicious! The rooms are most comfortable(good overhead fan & A/C in every room for summer) and a yummy breakfast each morning. Our dog gives the Inne six stars as she is most welcome & gets spoiled by Barb & Jan who love good dogs! Even mostly good dogs! Relax, nap, read or go for a nice stroll. You will love your stay here. Also, Covid precautions were observed & we felt very secure during our stay. The rooms are spotless and the towels are soft and fluffy. Our hosts know how to arrange everything for your safety and comfort. We will be back!
I stayed at this quaint, cozy New England inn because I was attending a wedding in the north country in November. Normally I am a camper when the weather is warm enough and a budget traveler. This inn was cozy, comfortable and welcoming with plenty of interesting nooks & crannies and plenty of space for a multitude of guests, check out the website for some lovely photos. I always appreciate when breakfast is included in my stays and the breakfast room at the inn was welcoming and included coffee, fruit, apple bread, and eggs/French toast. The real highlight of my stay was chatting Barb, the owner of the inn, she and her partner are world travelers and the inn is filled with treasures they have collected. When you stay here don’t miss the opportunity to relax and talk about travel adventures!…
We stayed three nights, and enjoyed talking to the hosts Barbara and Jan. Also had a wonderful dinner of shrimp and scallops. The grounds there are beautiful as well. The last morning we woke up to see four deer by the pond which added to the experience...
We stayed for 2 nights in the Inn's Nantucket room, the name of which perfectly conveys its style, with both antique and new furnishings New England marine themed and the whole delightful. Our hostess couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming, the Inn and its history are very interesting, breakfast was very tasty without being excessive, and altogether it was a great base for attending a wedding nearby (the reason for our stay). Oh, and she doesn't take card payments, so there was a lovely atmosphere of trust too!
I had the good fortune of staying at the Waterford Inn this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised by its simple elegance. From the moment I stepped through the door knew I had found the perfect place for a weekend retreat. Barbara and Jan are wonderful hosts and offer exemplerary customer service. Their delicious custom made breakfasts, combined with good conversation and assistance when I needed help finding the perfect jacket for a wedding speaks to the quality service they offer. I would not hestitate to recommend this picturesque establishment to anyone seeking a peaceful place off the beaten path.
