We arrived around 12:30pm Sat Aug 10th. We were staying here to go to a wedding at the venue in the area. Check in time is normally 4pm. The woman at the restaurant/check area said it would be an hour due to the check out time being 11am and the housekeeping not done yet. She was very pleasant about it. We sat down at the restaurant area and had drink and an appetizer while we waited. Beers arrived nice and cold. We ordered the quesadilla. It was very good. Better than your typical quesadilla. Chicken was big pieces, cheese was gooey and the bread was crisp. Less than 20 min after being told our room would be ready in an hour, we were told the room was ready. After paying the food bill, we asked which way to our room. The waitress stopped what she was doing and escorted us our room. We stayed in room #4. We walked into our room, we were beyond happy immediately. The view from all windows was absolutely breathtaking. Our room was right above the restaurant area, we could hear talking and such below us. But it certainly wasnt an issue. The view in the bunk bed was amazing. We had time before we needed to get ready for the wedding. I grabbed the stool near the window and sat down and admired the view for some time. The river is right across the street. After arriving back from the wedding, we crawled into the queen bed. Between the comfortable pillows and the comfortable mattress, we past right out. We awoke in the morning to sweet aroma of bacon then shortly later the smell of coffee, all from downstairs in the restaurant. Once we pried ourselves out of bed, we made our way down for breakfast. We started with some great coffee to wake us up. We ordered omelets. They arrived shortly. They were so good. Highly recommend this place. The owner is onsite and around the restaurant. She is very nice. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again

We stopped here for lunch on our way back from Quebec, Canada. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere and service was exceptionally hospitable. Don’t miss this gem! Stop in and enjoy it for yourselves.

Friendly staff in a unique setting. Great view of the River from the window seats. Wildlife wood carvings by a local artist are very good and add to the atmosphere. Food was very average, which held back the stars.

My cousins and us rented 3 rooms for two nights. We did white water rafting on the Kennebec with Northern Outdoors. Newer hotel, soft beds, they do not do daily housekeeping. Hand vacs in each room, I believe to suck up all the flies found in each room, remember your out in the wilderness. The restaurant below is open for breakfast (7am), lunch and dinner, good selection of offerings.

We rented a suite to sleep 4 adults and 1 child. We stayed over the night before our whitewater rafting excursion so we could avoid the 2.5H drive the morning of. This family owned and operated lodge is literally right next store to the rafting place and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. The lodge looks like a huge log cabin. Our suite, although not huge, was comfortable. We had a little sitting area with a small couch, a two top table with chairs and a bunk bed (twin on top, double on bottom). The living are also had a flat screen tv. The suite also had a seperate bedroom with another double bed and our bathroom had a standup shower. Nothing fancy but we were comfortable and in the morning instead of a 2.5H drive we had a 1min drive, literally! I would definitely recommend staying the night if you're looking for an alternative to a long drive before a day of rafting or even staying overnight after a long day on the river rafting!
