Spending a week in Maine at a family reunion was a lot of fun but we got a late start on our plans and reservations. Maine is a wonderful place to visit any time of the year but, as you can imagine, summer time is particularly fun. Most VRBO type cottages/cabins are booked months and months in advance. Other family members have stayed here at the Cobbossee Motel but they had some reservations about us staying there due to a change in ownership. I'm here to write that you can put any fears to rest. The young couple that have purchased the motel are very nice. This is a motel that gives you the basics to stay comfortable for your visit. Everything worked in the room including the A/C, stove, microwave and Fridge. The pool is clean, the gas grill was brand new, and the place is centrally located a lot of activities, stores and sites. We bought some burgers and dogs and had a cookout by the pool. We did Coffee, eggs and toast in the room in the morning since they had all of the pots/pans, etc. If you are a couple traveling through or would just like to get away for a week in Maine this is a very economical choice for you. I'd stay here again with no hesitation. Oh! One last thing, make sure you have some cheese-its or crackers to feed the chickens!!

Very Comfortable, Clean, friendly, well maintained, safe area, and great value. The AC worked. The WIFI worked. The hot water worked. The door locks worked. The lights worked. The cable tv worked. The pool was open and clean. Picnic tables with umbrellas and chairs were all setup for use near the pool area. Also 2 clean gas grills were set up for use. This is a well run mom & pop Motel. This isn't a Luxury hotel chain so don't expect up to date Luxury Hotel type amenities. I'd stay here again.

Was looking for a reasonable priced place to stay in the Winthrop, Augusta area and this older motel fits the bill. In between Augusta and Winthrop right on Route #202 it's convent to everything. Though it's a little out dated the rooms are clean and have kitchenettes and are kind of a motor court appeal to them. Within walking distance to Lake Cobbosee Conte and it even has a pool. And at one of the lowest rates around it's definitely worth a second look!
