The Inn is charming, but more accent is on appearance then comfort. Mu room would have been much more comfortable with a quiet heating unit and room darkening shades. The breakfast that was included was presented by a caring attendant, but could have had a few more choices for my taste, less carbs, more fruit. T Loved the town ,... More

I attend the Fair Hill International horse trials every year, and have been staying at the Inn at the Canal since 2010. It's an easy drive from Fair Hill to Chesapeake City, and this inn is the perfect spot to relax after a long day outside. I have stayed in several different rooms over the years, and each is lovely... More

It is beautifully decorated and furnished, and in a great location in Chesapeake City (which is very small, but the inn in centrally located with water views and easy access). The breakfasts were delicious, and the hosts were very accommodating of dietary needs.... More

A last minute idea turned into an amazing stay. The day of our departure called the inn to check availability. Spoke with Bob, the inn keeper and our needs were immediately taken care of. We arrived during a rain storm. Our room was ready and we were able to venture out to a local gathering place. The following morning we... More

Excellent stay, very nice and friendly staff! Bob cooked an excellent omlet and the mini bread with chocolate chips were to die for! The room and house was vintage looking and awesome with your own heat/ac units and each room has it own bathroom. Great front and back porches to relax on! We already booked a room for next year... I've never experienced a bed and breakfast before and now that I have it's going to be hard to settle for anything else. This quaint little Inn felt like home not to mention the great breakfast every morning included in my stay. My room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Definitely deserves 5 stars!!
