If you want to linger awhile on the Island, the Inn certainly provides top-notch accommodations. I've stayed a few times and I always learn or experience something new about Island life. This Summer, host Danny's service was great. With his advise, I launched a kayak and despite wind, drizzle, tide and a wrong turn(HA!), made my first Tylerton visit. I...

We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your most recent visit to Smith Island! We were disappointed our family was not here to greet one of most frequent guest! As come-heres (not born on the Island), we agree that the people and their openness and genuineness are one of the island's treasures that can't be recreated in other places....

We loved our room--Mary Ruth's Retreat. It was on the first floor which was nice for popping outside to look at the asteroid shower at 2am. We loved selection of bikes to use, and the complimentary kayaks. We had dinner delivered in the first night--it was delish! Our included breakfasts were fabulous and Danny our innkeeper served up solid advice...

We had the pleasure of staying at the Smith Island Inn back in mid-April. From the moment I called about availability, Michelle took good care of us. She answered all of our questions, informed us of things to do and events going on, set up ordering a cake, and arranged all transportation to the island, including excellent directions. While there,...

Smith Island Inn should be your "go-to" home away from home while exploring beautiful Smith Island! The people are wonderful and friendly and can set you up with kayaks to tour the local Wildlife Refuge, bikes to ride around town in, or just the piece and quiet to relax in. Smith Island is wonderful!

Thank you for the kind words! We are truly humbled when guests report that we feel like their home way from home! As a family business, it is our hope that each and every guest leaves feeling that they are old friends. The locals love sharing the Island and hearing from "mainlanders" about life there! We have expanded our canoe,...

We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed staying at our Inn! During our complete renovation, we strived to maintain the quaint character of the home while providing modern conveniences including our en suite bathrooms. Thanks for the compliment! Our open floor plan invites mingling and helps capture the Island pastime of long discussions over coffee in our parlor. We are...

The Smith Island Inn was the perfect home base from which to explore Smith Island. The Inn had all of the modern conveniences but was not out of place in this "Island Out of Time." John was extremely helpful - sending necessary info in advance about how to get to the island and what to do once you arrive. He...

My wife and I wanted to get away from everything and just relax in peace and quiet. The Smith Island Inn was definitely the place to accomplish that.
