Had an opportunity to stay at the 1828 Trail Inn after a very long 120+km day of riding. Arrived to find that the Inn had a dedicated garage to secure our bikes, an open hose to clean off the grime of the trail and a free laundry just inside the back door. Check in was a breeze. My wife and...

Great for Cyclists and awesome Breakfast. The hosts were very accommodating and they had refresnments when we arrived. Cookies. mmmmm. The other bonus was Laundry facilities so after an 90 mile ride that was perfect. Highly recommend. Would suggest you have wifi in the second property

I recently stayed one night while biking along the C&O Canal. B&B is very close to the canal trail and WMRT. You do need to go up a fairly steep but short hill in back of the B&B for the secured bike shed storage. Received a warm welcome and was offered complimentary juices and Gatorade. I had the comfortable "Doctor's...

Riding the C&O in the rain can be dangerous and frustrating. We ducked in to the 1828 Trail Inn and stayed for 2 nights. Bill and Darlene were wonderful hosts and prepared a delicious breakfast both mornings - they alone are worth the stay! Clean comfortable accommodations in a beautiful old house.

We stayed one night in mid September while riding the GAP and tow path from Pittsburgh to DC. It is right on the trail with a very nice restaurant right across the street. The host couple is very delightful, helpful and a joke to talk to. The parking, bike storage and entry is from the hill behind the home but...

Stayed here on my second night out of DC through riding to Pittsburgh. I used an outfitter to help with accommodations and she obviously knew what she was doing. Had ridden through a thunderstorm ten miles out and Darlene was helpful in getting my bike cleaned off and showing me the best way to get my shoes dry by morning....

The hosts are very experienced B&B operators who have learned over the years to make there gusts comfortable and happy. Extras include a very secure bike shed, a power washer for bikes and plastic zip lock bags to take that second muffin along after breakfast. Very friendly hosts who provide an outstanding breakfast.

Even if you don't have immediate business in Hancock, make this an evening destination - a treat you'll surely thank yourself for! Clearly, this is an anchor business for the community, and one that prides itself on maintaining a line to the historic past of the region. The proprietors were most gracious, and the rooms seemed tailored for the needs...

This was a beautiful home with delightful Innkeepers, Bill and Darlene. The rooms were very comfortable with toiletries provided; an afternoon snack and a lovely breakfast served elegantly made this a wonderful respite during our 8 day bike trip. There was a very good restaurant across the street for dinner. My only wish was that we had taken a day...

Hose to clean up from the mud of the C & O and a locking garage for the bicycles. Hosts were friendly and welcoming, they even had cheese and crackers and cookies waiting and they weren't at all concerned about our dirt! Rooms were clean and comfy, breakfast was delicious and Darlene even packed us muffins for the trail. Living...
