We stayed at room 356 and it's in very bad shape and not so clean as it should be. It had clothes from other visitors below the bed, water of the shower it's a mess because the hot water is not consistent. The hot tub area is unsafe, the deck will fall or break soon. Lousy people on other rooms and A/C is in poor condition. The toilet is a joke, super tiny and not comfortable. The only good thing is the location near the play area and beach. I will not recommend this place even to my worst enemy, we paid like $259 for one night.

My husband and I were traveling for a weekend getaway and we decided on this hotel because of location which was perfect being right on the boardwalk. When we checked in our room (3rd floor) it was a non smoking room that smelled like someone was smoking a cigar in the room just before we arrived. The bathroom shower had layers of black mold around the top corners and on the ceiling. Not a little bit a lot. The ceiling paint was peeling off everywhere. The sheets were off white looked like they could not bleach them 1 more time. We asked for another room. The 2nd room was on the 4th floor and did not smell like smoke. There was less mold in the shower area and it smelled like someone had bleached the room just before which was nice so we stayed the 2 nights. The hotel has a pool and bar at night there is a DJ which is nice for those who want to party and not as nice for those that want to sleep at night. The 2nd night it felt like the upstairs neighbors were going to end up in our bedroom with how loud the jumping, screaming and laughing was and it went on most of the night. I was very surprised to see that non of the hotel staff were cleaning common areas now with the pandemic most businesses have employees sanitizing and cleaning high touch areas not here. The hotel common areas were dirty. The place overall is very run down in need of deep cleaning. I would say desperately needs renovation too, but how about we start with cleaning especially with the circumstances surrounding COVID-19. Would not stay here again. In fact as we were checking in I heard someone complaining about black mold in their room.

I have been coming for over 20 years ,when there was only one elevator ,and this is the worse I have seen the Plim Plaza . Front porch covered with sand , had to run sweeper myself to clean carpet in my room. . The A/C controls were unreadable , tub had dirt in it. The pool area was still in good shape except the outdoor lamp posts were falling over and not working , I'm sure. And as always the pool bar was in top notch shape. The lobby and the overall condition of hotel was dirty , even the front windows were filthy on the outside. Location is good for being near activities and sits on the boardwalk.. NEEDS SOME TLC FOR SURE.

We have been traveling to OC for many years and always wanted to stay at one of these Hotels on the boards with rocking chairs out front. It looked nice every time we passed it. Heard nice things & researched a little on trip advisor. We try not to put too much into some of the negative things BUT we should have this time. Internet pictures CAN BE DECEIVING! The room was is the back by the pool-no problem EXCEPT:dead birds outside on the window ledge, bugs in the room, stained carpets, musty smell. Need I say more! No offense but the average age of the guests in this Hotel was over 70 too!! sorry will not stay again.

Reviewing my 11th and 13th stay (both this summer/fall) and overall Plim still gets a good overall rating from me. 11th Stay - Family Stay beginning of sept 2019 As usual our check in process was quick and friendly. Room was ready ahead of schedule and we were at the pool having fun in no time. I did encounter the first ever time to have an uncomfortable bed. Usually I sleep really well at the Plim but this mattress was not the greatest. I let the front desk know and they kindly showed me an available room down the hall. We accepted and all was well after that. Our room was cleaned daily with towels replenished. Is it the fanciest place ever? No but we do not go to OC to sit around in a room so as long as its clean and functional that is all that matters. In Late sept I made it to my 12th stay. This time I returned for customer appreciation week when all returning guests get a room for just $10 per person per night. I took my mom and we had a wonderful stay. Room was great, pool was chilly but hot tubs fantastic. Didn't want to leave. Overall pros: After 12 stays I can continue to say the major pros of the hotel are its location, proximity to nearby boardwalk shopping, downtown shopping an eateries, rides, etc. Its very budget friendly and the customer appreciation week is a wonderful thank you to return guests to come back for a second time at a phenomenal price. Convenience of the coffee place on the deck, largest outdoor swimming pool in ocean city, the hot tubs, the pool bar, Daktoa the parrot and the fun tropical casual vibe. All these things keep us coming back. Service is great. I love that we often can get into our room ahead of schedule and on check out day you still have full use of parking tag and hotel amenities until 3 PM giving you more time to soak up the sun by the pool and stretch that vacation time just a bit longer. Room for improvement: Of course no place is perfect. Although the Plim has made efforts to remodel the rooms and the lobby, we did notice some areas that probably need attention next. The top of these would be the pool area or rather the common area leading to the pool. Loose bricks, areas where bricks are missing altogether, walls and doors leading to the pools and hot tubs in serious need of a strip and re-paint. a face lift to that area would be really beneficial to the hotel. and I also think the parking lot could use a new asphalt or whatever it would be. Its not horrible but def some pot holes, cracks and ridges that would look so much nicer if fixed. since it the first impression guests will see, I could see it being beneficial to make an upcoming project. Overall it is obvious we are plim returnees for life and we love everything it offers for the price point which makes it a value to us. we may not be able to return next year due to other travel plans but looking forward to staying with the plim again in the near future.
