I loved this family-run hotel, a bit older but perfect location and everything I needed. I stayed in the "Snipe" room with a full kitchenette and small balcony. The hotel is right on the boardwalk with direct beach access. They have a beautiful porch with rocking chairs for boardwalk people-watching or viewing the sunrise over the ocean. Even though the week was crowded with kids partying, the hotel was quiet and filled with families. The staff is very friendly and this will be my go-to hotel for Ocean City!
Our family has stayed at the Lankford for longer that I can remember. The family friendly atmosphere is what keeps us coming back. The hotel is always clean and it's location is prime! The hotel has that old Ocean City vibe which makes you want to kick back and relax. As long as this hotel is up and running, we will be coming back. Highly recommend.
We booked this spot last minute for a holiday weekend not expecting much since it was one of the last places left with any rooms. We were pleasantly surprised and how nice it was for an older place. Check in was a breeze and everyone was vice nice. The room was very clean and quite, it over looked the ocean and in the morning they had a continental breakfast downstairs. The rockling chairs on the porch were nice at night to just sit and relax. Over all a great spot.
We stayed at the Lankford at a whim after other hotel plans fell through. We were greeted with spectacular service which continued throughout our stay. They even let us take a shower in the hotel after check-out so we could extend our time on the beach. We also loved the location right on the beach and the easy access to all the fun on the boardwalk. The rooms were clean, cool, and cozy with amazing views to the water. We also loved the breakfast and wonderful staff. This hotel made our stay at Ocean City a truly memorable one. Love this place and HIGHLY Recommend!
This is our 4th stay at the Lankford. We stayed in the Lodge 101, it was roomy and very clean. We had access to the main hotel which included breakfast from 7 to 10 in the lobby and throughout the day there is ice cold water available. Every time we encountered a member of the staff they all spoke and asked if we needed anything. Mary will go out of her way to find a room when calling to make a reservation which I would recommend you call instead of trying to book online. This place is not fancy, no pool, no valet parking, no elevator but it is VERY clean, has comfortable beds, its directly on the boardwalk and it's very quiet. A huge plus is Thrashers fries is at one end of the porch, bike rentals available right outside the front door starting at 6AM. There is 2 shops located at this location which I seen no one coming or going one being a yarn shop and the other I am not sure of. There are rocking chairs available at the main hotel for any guests to enjoy. We definitely will be returning to the Lankford and would highly recommend that you book your next stay here too. Much cheaper than the big chain hotels.…
