We rented 4 rooms in the lodge for a family of 17. We love this place for its proximity to the beach. The owners, breakfast, cleanliness, rooms are great! I wish they didn't allow people to smoke on the community porch. We will be back!

Not all the rooms have an Ocean View. When you call them Mary, the owner, can recommend the ones that do. Even if you don't have a room with an Ocean View, their front porch is right on the Boardwalk, right In Front of the Ocean! There are plenty of rockers to sit on, and in the morning you can eat your Free Breakfast while enjoying the Ocean View/Breeze!

Java Beach Cafe (21st and Boardwalk) in the Grand Hotel and Spa is open 24 hours and has great coffee and pastry. The same hotel has a wonderful pizza parlor. What we did was rent a bike from 8th and Boardwalk bike rentals (just south of Lankford) and rode to get coffee! Another morning we found Soriano's Cafe which is one block off the boardwalk around 3rd street, road bikes there, too! It was so great I took my husband back there on another trip. On another website I found people highly recommending the Sahara at 19th and Boardwalk! Have a great trip.
