We go to Ocean City one or twice a year and the Princess Royale is always my first choice. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The main reason we choose the Princess Royale is that we usually go off season my kids love indoor pool. We went this past weekend. The pool was disgusting. The water on Sunday evening was so cloudy I could not see my feet, the skimmers were brown at water levewith months of gunk and there was so much scum on the pool walls that someone had gone down one side and written and drawn in it. I called the next morning to speak to the manager before we checked out because I didn't want to discuss this in front of other guests at the desk. The front office manager Maurice informed me that they have many certified pool operators and they put lots of chlorine in the pool. He was sorry if it was not up to my standards and I should have let him know right away as they would have refunded my money and I could go stay somewhere else. The rooms was beautiful and the beach was perfect. If your going for the indoor pool go stay somewhere else. We enjoyed the next few days at a different hotel.

Hotel's Favourite
My friend and I spent two nights at the Princess Royale for a girls getaway weekend. The hotel was easy to find, parking right near the front door and an employee at the ready with a luggage cart to help with the bags. Special thanks to Peyton at the front desk for the upgrade to an ocean view room...so appreciated! The hotel and room was cleaner than most branded hotels I have stayed at...I was impressed. The room was comfortable with great amenities and the bed super comfortable. Even the chairs on the balcony were spotless. The front desk staff texted to see how things were not too long after check in and also recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner. The hotel lobby is undergoing construction and it will look amazing when done. We did not go to the hotel restaurant (but the pizza room service was great). The atrium and pool area is gorgeous. We were surprised to find the saunas (2 of them) open which was a nice feature. The pool was spacious and clean and the Jacuzzi was well-enjoyed even though it was a bit small. The pool bar was open the second night we were there although we did not visit it. All safety protocols were being followed and we felt very comfortable. You can't beat the ocean front location and view...even in winter! There's an Acme across the street and a great breakfast place next door (with amazing homemade donuts). Can't wait to return!

We recently stayed at this resort on a family trip. Overall, it has a nice ocean front condo-style suites that are spacious and clean. A few things to note however are: Pros: Beautiful ocean view, close enough to the boardwalk, spacious suite with clean bedding and room amenities, large windows that open from the ocean-front bedroom, large indoor pool, and friendly staff Cons: handicap-accessible bathroom was requested 3 times prior to arrival for our two wheelchair-bound children, but the only thing we got was a shower stool that barely fit the bathtub, nothing in the suite was accessible for anyone with mobility difficulty (this was a game changer for our family), outdated appliances-dish washer was full of rust, peeled paint, trays falling apart, dryer wasn't working properly, room cleaning staff never came, we cleaned the suite ourselves picking food crumbs by hand from the carpet so a small vacuum would have been nice for our 4-day stay. Also, there was no bathroom near the indoor pool which was odd. LOL The hotel seems to be under construction in many different areas--which is understandable as it is off-season. Overall, we enjoyed the view and indoor pool, but I think the suite could have been equipped better. I'm not sure if we will be returning to this hotel considering the fact that it is not safe for our kids.

This was our first time in Ocean City and chose the hotel for the indoor pool and ratings. We had a room on the second floor: same level as pool. We also had the Ocean view double queen. It was a good local trip. PROs: -- Upon arrival there was a bellhop who helped with bags. -- It was very cold for spring break and you can control the temperature in the room (a plus for me for I hate being cold) -- Indoor pool area was generally clean with someone there servicing. -- Towels were available but be aware the attendants want them back and will tell you that sternly -- The ocean view was fantastic!!! It was too cold to go out on the balcony, but it seemed like a nice place to hang out. -- The room was overall clean. The kitchenette was stocked with all the dishes you need. I did go to the local store and buy dish soap, paper towels and napkins. Those basic items were not available -- Keurig coffee machine has pods for 3 days if you are a couple 1.5 days -- Parking free and near restaurants you can walk to CONS: -- Housekeeping does not come every day. I read this here so expected it. If you see her in the hall she will give you more toilet paper and trash bags to empty your own trash -- I could not find the onsite restaurant which was advertised. It didn't really matter because we cooked breakfast everyday but still wondered where it was. Front desk said it had limited hours due to covid restrictions, but I wonder if it exists or even still open. -- since it was spring break the pool and jacuzzi was a bit crowded. The water itself was a tad dirty. Sand, noticeable hair floating around, etc. I'm not sure if that can be fixed. -- the arcade will take your money. My kids probably lost $2 of quarters in non-functioning machines. -- parking is free but the spaces and garage is super tight. I have a forever mark on my Honda Pilot trying to turn out of the garage. Boo hoo. Overall it was very nice. I think there would be more to offer in the summer time and non-covid. The hotel is on the beach and more amenities could probably be offered. I looked at prices for summer time and it was more expensive than an all inclusive resort. So I'm not sure if I want to spend that kind of money on what we had. We will probably go again off season and (unfortunately) cold weather again....

Our weekend getaway at the resort was excellent! We stayed in a beautiful room that overlooked the ocean (watching the sunrise was amazing!), the pool and tiki bar were great. The floor plan was a little confusing though. My husband and I had a very nice dinner at the restaurant. Olena made us feel welcomed. She was personable, attentive, and made excellent wine and food recommendations. We loved the resort and look forward to booking our next stay!
