Was on a family vacation with my husband, son- 21yo, and daughter-18yo. I am not usually a BnB person but my husband picked Pocomoke for a good place to vacation due to it's proximity to the beach, bay and river and the reviews for the River Gem were excellent. I am so glad we came! My husband and I stayed... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in Pokomoke City at the River Gem. We stayed in the Ruby room which is large, quiet and very comfortable. The Keurig coffee right outside the door hit the spot for this early riser. The scrumptious breakfasts are so large we did not have to eat until dinner. We loved this small town with... More

You will love this place! I've been to a lot of B&B's over the years and this one was hands down the best. The room and the house have lots of great touches, the food is exceptional, and the hospitality gets an A+! Nearby, visit the Vault, Chincoteague, and the riverside restaurant.

As we traveled from NJ to Norfolk, VA, we needed a place for one evening. Luckily we found the River Gem B&B on the internet. Mona and her daughters are lovely innkeeperss and made us feel right at home. We stayed in the Sapphire room which was lovely -- generous in size --- robes and slippers and wait until you... More

We had a very nice stay. Mona and her daughters were great hostesses. The room was very well maintained and very spacious. The breakfast was spectacular. We don't normally stay at bed and breakfasts so this was a really great experience

Our stay at the River Gem was really a treat. From the welcome drink and sweet to the period piece furnishings to the absolutely amazing breakfast, this was one of the most pleasant stays we have had. Mona and her daughters make this B&B what it is with their attention to detail, talents in the kitchen, and warm and welcoming... More

Thanks, Mona and Violet, we had a great stay. The B&B is located in a very interesting Victorian house. The room we stayed in had a lot of character, and was also very comfortable will all the amenities. Although the property itself had a lot of personality, our hosts remain the most memorable aspect of the experience. Mona has a... More

I write kayak adventure books, and my wife of 33 years is my kayak buddy. We were investigating the Pocomoke River and its access points. The wife wanted a B&B rather than a hotel. When you are married that long you learn to say "yes dear"with a smile. We were catered to with a smile, and asked if we needed... More
