Great visit! See previous review. My phone (most likely this user) signed into TA under a different email address. Looking forward to our visit this year! An afterthought for fellow campers: make sure to take a moment to look up at the midnight sky. You can see the Milky Way! It was a very special moment. :) This campground is...

Camping at Fort Whaley is always a fun experience. The staff is great to work with, there are lots of activities for the kids. Also, the water park at Frontier Town is included in your stay at Fort Whaley. So enjoy the day at the water park then back to Fort Whaley for evening activities. Ocean City is close by...

We really enjoyed our stay! This was our family's first time here and look forward to our next visit in September. Pros: We loved our cabin. It had air conditioning (which I need! ). It was clean. The staff were wonderfully patient with me regarding the pillow situation. I left mine at home and was under the impression that they...

This is a nice place to stay when you want a big rig friendly campground near Ocean City without actually being IN Ocean City (or virtually so). The pull through sites are long and level, if a bit narrow. The cable TV has a few digital HDTV signals in addition to the regular assortment of fuzzy analog cable channels like...

Our family went to Fort Whaley this past weekend for their Halloween theme weekend. We have been going to Frontiertown for their Halloween weekend for the past 10+ years but it was booked so we thought we would give Fort Whaley a try - expecting a similar experience we have had with Frontiertown (considering they are owned by the same...

Thank you for your feedback. We're very sorry to hear you were disappointed with our activities. While Frontier Town and Fort Whaley offer a similar schedule, each campground is separate and runs their own lineup. As for insect control, spraying for mosquitoes is conducted by Worcester County, Maryland and is done on the maximum number of days that the county...

This is always a packed house with Volkswagen enthusiasts. It rained yesterday so Sunday's entry fee was increased from $20 to $25 per person. This is a huge event with p6travelling from as far as Quebec, Canada. The show attracts European car enthusiasts. There are some beautifully modified cars, colors, engines. You will find all sorts of people, kids, older,...

To much GREED not to share! $3 ATM bank fee so I said no since I was going to pullout $20. I get home and without my permission or acknowledgement the greedy bastards charged me $3 for ATM Balance inquiry without any transaction. That my friends is GREED. Shame on Fort Whaley and whatever greedy arrangement they have with the...

We're very sorry to hear you are so frustrated, however this negative review is completely unwarranted in regards to our resort. We have absolutely no control over what fees are charged. Your statement should list what bank that ATM machine is leased from. Please contact them directly if you wish to question the charge.

The campground overall was ok! Easy check-in! Nice amenities. The problem was they left people check in after midnight! The group set up 5 tents, after midnight! Water an electric sites. Using a spotlight. I was up trying to put my 4 year old back to bed! The spotlight shined in our tent for two hours while they set up....

We do ask that all guests arrive before Quiet Time, which begins at 11:00 PM, but sometimes we must make special allowances for irregular circumstances. We are truly sorry if you were disturbed. There is an after-hours number listed in your check-in packet for any issues needing to be addressed after the Front Desk has closed. Had a Park Patrol...

We stayed at Fort Whaley from 7/30-8/6, and thought overall it was a great location. I was nervous staying in a bare bones cabin, but we actually thought it was very cozy, clean, and plenty of space for 5 of us. We enjoyed the location, only about 20 minutes from Assateague and Ocean City, which we went to both during...

“It is a wonderful place to come with kids. But you defiantly want to put extra sun screen on the tops of your feet if going in the lazy river at the waterpark. The primitive (no electric or water) camping area is only shaded for 1 half of the day. So best to bring a canopy or screen tent too.”
