THis Inn was exceptional. The hosts were more than accommodating, than were cordial!!! The inn is decorated with the art work by the owner, which was GORGEOUS. The breakfast was elegant & delicious....the other guests were friendly & fun!!! We will definitely make this an annual visit.

The Inn is very charming, the rooms professionally decorated and everything is very clean and tidy. Breakfast was a wonderful home cooked buffet of egg casserole, bacon, scones and fresh fruit. The unpredictable was the greeting we received as we walked into the door. We were harshly scolded for being late and not calling even though we we're checking in... More

This is a gorgeous B&B, perfect if you are looking for a step back in time to the 18th century. You would never know that this building is less than twenty years old, other than the modern conveniences. We stayed in the lovely Woodlands Room: beautifully decorated with windows viewing the surrounding woods. The room is neither large nor small;... More

What a gem! We walked in asking if the B&B was 100 years old or older....well, Bill & Sherri chuckled, then advised us it is 11 years old!!! We couldn't believe it. It is a perfect replica of days gone by - huge roaring fireplace, furniture of that era, gorgeous murals painted on the walls, all done by Sherri, an... More

My husband & I had a wonderful stay here so we had to give our chirps. While visiting Boston then traveling to New Britain we needed a place to stay before flying out of Logan airport. We found this great very clean beautiful B & B and about a 45 minute drive to the airport. Bill & Sherry have built... More

My mother and I stayed at the Yankee Cricket during the week of the Brimfield Antique show last May. Seeing all the positive reviews, and being frequent guests at B&Bs, we were excited for this mother-daughter trip. But I knew there was something up when I arrived one day after my mother, and she was reluctant to head back to... More

We stayed at the Yankee Cricket during the recent July Brimfield Antique show. This B & B would be wonderful at any time of the year, but it was especially fabulous during the week of the show. Bill and Sherry went above and beyond to make the week flawless. Each day started with an absolutely delicious breakfast. During the week... More

Just as described, this friendly place has the feel of an old inn but with the conveniences you expect in a conventional hotel. Bill and Sherry make the stay effortless and enjoyable. Very helpful in directing us to the Brimfield show and to our restaurant in West Brookfield. Breakfast is plentiful, wholesome and delicious. Stayed in the Traveler Room. Comfortable... More

My wife and I just had a very pleasant stay at the Yankee Cricket. The accommodations were what we hoped for. Bob & Sherry were excellent hosts and we enjoyed sharing experiences with them. The breakfast was delicious, which included an omelette, fruit, yogurt, granola, bacon, orange juice & herb tea. The B&B is about a 15 minute drive from... More

Recently, we took a long weekend getaway to the Sturbridge area and wound up staying at the Yankee Cricket Bed and Breakfast in Brimfield - best decision ever! Both Bill and Sherry made us feel quite welcomed in their amazing home during our entire stay. Their home (or our home while there) was crisp, clean and tastefully decorated in period... More
