This resort is perfect for a Cape vacation. The rooms are clean, modern, and spacious. And the staff goes out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. It's not your typical hotel but offers beautiful landscaping and gardens and parking right in front of your unit. Everything about the deluxe room with deck was perfect---comfortable bed, excellent wifi, and a sparkling bathroom with soft towels. The shower pressure was ideal. This is not often the case at many resorts or hotels. We enjoyed the pool that has poolside service for lunch. And though it was busy on a hot Sunday, we found lounges and a table as people moved in and out. The room itself was so quiet. We never heard anyone in our adjacent room nor was there any noise coming from the outside. Very private. This is the place to stay. And to top things off, they remembered that 8 months ago I mentioned this would be a birthday stay and I found a small box of chocolates in my room as a birthday surprise. I highly recommend this property. And you're only about a 10 minute drive from Chatham Center.

Thank you for taking your time to write such a wonderful review! The goal of our family owned Cape Cod hotel is to offer a laid back, peaceful, clean, friendly & welcoming atmosphere for our guests, and we are happy you had a memorable experience. Many of our room options, including the room you enjoyed, as well as the Cottages & Studios, include private outdoor seating with a view of the gardens and sound of waterfalls. The poolside lunch is popular among guests and offered July through Memorial weekend. The spacious pool area is open thru October. Our central location is just 3 miles from downtown Chatham and less than one mile to the nearest warm water beach. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Always book directly with us for the best room descriptions and rates.

Our family of four (two kids) just spent a week at the Pleasant Bay Village Resort, mid-pandemic. The property is stunning with extensive, well maintained gardens that helped to create a sense of privacy and serenity. The management was very cautious and respectful in terms of COVID - keeping chairs distanced around the pool area, requiring masks in public areas, giving the option of daily maid service or just leaving a sealed plastic bag of towels at your door each day. We had a lovely room with a kitchen and private back deck that even came with a BBQ. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfectly relaxing stay. We enjoyed a newly renovated rear efficiency. The units are ideal for social distancing. The full kitchen & grill gave us flexibility. We prepared our own meals & were comfortable with take-out once a day. We declined to have the room cleaned while there & the wonderful housekeepers left us clean towels & took our trash whenever we left dirty towels or trash on the patio. People were respectful/mindful in the pool area and being on the property itself is like exploring a botanical garden. If you want to get in your regular cape vacation this summer but are unsure with COVID, stay here!

We brought our one year old and dog here and absolutely loved our stay. They are doing a great job keeping the place safe and clean. All staff wore masks, they were regularly cleaning the pool area, and they made it our choice how we interacted with cleaning of the rooms. The space was modern and peaceful. Truly so glad we took the time to escape the city for a weekend retreat here.

My family and I have been coming to Pleasant Bay Village for almost 20 years.
We have never had a bad stay. After being in strict quarantine and isolation for months, our first journey out was Pleasant Bay Village. We were nervous and were not sure what to expect, but once again pleasantly surprised! The family at PleasantBay Village made us feel safe. It was clean and quiet. We were able to stay in and bbq on our deck, take out from our favorite restaurant or eat out on one of the many outdoor dining patios in town. The pool area was very clean (Thank you Chery!). The beaches are always lovely and people seemed to stay the 6 feet apart with ease. Thank you Pleasant Bay Village for another summer together, Thank you for being our calm during the storm. Cant wait to see you again next year! Johnny, Peter, Judy, Noah, Josh, Cheryl (Buddy Bear) and the rest of the crew. Job well done!

Thank you for your very kind words! 20 years is a long time and we are so honored to have so very many guests that have such a deep history with us, and who have become longtime friends, including your family. Thank you for your continued support and trust. We are happy to have provided you a vacation of calm during the storm. We have always strived to be a tranquil oasis and this year more than ever it's is fundamentally important for all guests and staff to feel safe, cared for and to have a sense of peace. Our rooms with kitchens do offer the choice to cook or bbq in, enjoy take out or as you also did, enjoy dining at many of the wonderful outdoor options now offered in the area. As always we look forward to many more return visits. Remember to call the front desk for the best availability, and as you always experience, you'll know the voice of whoever picks up the phone.

This is an absolutely wonderful place! After deciding to spend some extra time in Chatham we found this gem nearby our rental. The website and photos were very promising and when I called, to inquire about the different types of rooms and availability, the young man could not have been more helpful and informative. Unsure when we called we booked with him right on the phone.
Check in was a breeze, (they let us drop off our bikes early so driving to lunch was much easier) and we were absolutely thrilled with the roomy, updated, clean unit, complete with a very functional kitchenette and lovely private deck. The pics on the website very accurately depict the accommodations. We were not disappointed.
What added to our stay was the peaceful, family style, yet private, feel of this establishment. Much of the space is filled with gardens, ponds, waterfalls and there is even a playground tucked away on the roomy property.
I could go on and on. Don't miss this place. Covid precautions were complete but not restrictive, and all of the staff were friendly, helpful and upbeat.
We'll be back again soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, the landscaping to the Koi pond to the swimming pool/hot tub area are immaculately kept. There is private outdoor seating provided directly outside the room as well as many areas to sit and enjoy the outdoors without feeling crowded.

The room itself was nicely updated, clean and large with parking right outside our door.

We had the bed and breakfast that they presently provide as take out, which we ate at the pool area. The breakfast included a variety of items and did not disappoint.

The property location is about 5 minutes from the center of Chatham and approximately 10 minutes from the beaches but it was a perfect place to return to at the end of the day. Highly recommend.

Michele thank you for the great review. We do offer plenty of outdoor space for everyone to enjoy comfortably without being crowded on our seven acre property. It is good to hear that you enjoyed the hot breakfast to-go that we are serving for all of our guests. It was tempting not to write this review at all, because I would really prefer that the Pleasant Bay Village Resort remain one of the best kept secrets on Cape Cod. This was our second visit (last visited in August 2020), and this time we opted for one of the larger accommodations: we had two bedrooms, a porch out front, a patio in the back, living room, dining room, and a full kitchen. It was more than enough for our family of four, and was more like a small cottage than a hotel room. (There are plenty of more traditional sized hotel rooms, too). Nothing on Cape Cod is cheap, but I thought the price was pretty reasonable given comparisons in the vicinity.

The resort has a pool and hot tub, and a kitchen serving breakfast in the morning and lunch by the pool in the afternoon. The location is comfortably out of the way, ideal if you want something quiet and away from the crowds, but still a short drive from all of the area attractions. The resort itself is in pristine condition, and the staff kept it that way throughout our stay. The pool is a great option when the beach is too windy or hot or you just need break. And the food was great (the blueberry pancakes for breakfast were particularly memorable). Having the full kitchen was really nice given crowds at restaurants over Labor Day Weekend -- we ended up eating dinner in the room all three nights. We even cooked out one night (the room even came with a grill!). Front desk staff could not be more friendly or accommodating.

This is a great choice for couples or families looking to visit the Cape for a long weekend, or tack a few extra days onto a week-long rental. We will certainly be back.

Thank you for your review Brian! We understand why you would want to keep PBV a secret and we are grateful that you decided to publicly share your experience. Our Two Bedroom Cottages are very popular, sometimes couples enjoy them, sometimes the groups are larger. All of our accommodations with kitchens include a charcoal grill. And as you shared, we also offer hotel style rooms for those who like to leave a kitchen behind when on vacation. We’ve been going to the cape for years and have usually been pleased. However, when we found this gem we decided that we will never stay anywhere else. !!! Everything was perfect. The grounds are breathtaking, the rooms are spotless , the management are the nicest and most accommodating people I’ve met at a resort The smart tv in our living room had problems and within an hour it was replaced!!! These people really care about their guests it’s so obvious The pool is nicely heated and very clean as was the hot tub. If you want breakfast you can order it the night before tell them what time you would like to pick it up and it will be ready!
We had a wonderful vacation and will be returning this September. We can’t wait!!!

We had one of the back rooms. It was newly renovated, meticulously clean, and very homey. The room is like a studio apartment with a kitchenette. Each unit has a private deck for drinking coffee or just relaxing. The grounds are stunning with hundreds of plant species. There’s a pool and hot tub that’s open until 8 pm. The hotel offers breakfast and semi pool side service for an extra cost. There’s complimentary coffee and tea at 7 am.

This hotel is about a ten minute drive to Chatham (which is the most upscale town on Cape Cod). The hotel lets you take towels to the beach and umbrellas if it’s raining.

One last thing, it’s a plus for your kids, in the lobby are two of the owners pets, Buddy Bear dog and Smoky the African Grey!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here!!

The closest Pleasant Bay beach is about 1/4 mile away, so technically it is walkable. However, there is no sidewalk and the beach offers free parking so we advise guests to drive down.
