After being bumped from my flight and seeking a hotel...I found this delightful hotel. The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. The bar staff is delightful. Thomas especially, was so friendly and helped me recover from my irritation of my travel plans being disrupted. Yari at the front desk was so sunny and cheerful...I appreciated that. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel! The room was perfect.

As a Hilton Honors Diamond member I like to stay at different properties in the portfolio that are convenient to transit, and where the price is right. I needed to stay in the Boston area on a weeknight, and this place fit the bill as a great price was offered and there is now a direct Silver Line bus connection between South Station and Chelsea.

I arrived on a rainy night (February 18). As expected, the bus dropped me in Chelsea just across the tracks from the hotel. I was greeted with a smile and recognition of my status. Elevator came right away and was fast.

The room, which I had chosen upon pre check-in the day before, was certainly comfortable and easy to move around in. I found it to be quiet, even though my room faced the street.

Bathroom in my room had plenty of room for me to put down my toiletries. No issues with hot water. TV and internet worked very well.

Next morning, before checkout I partook of my complimentary breakfast included with Diamond status. I enjoyed the eggs and sausage. Check-out was as quick and professional and check-in.

All in all a pleasant stay, and something to consider when downtown Boston hotels are expensive. Should the price be right I will consider this property again when I visit the area.

This hotel is close to the airport and offers a complimentary shuttle which runs every 30 minutes. There is also free parking on the property which is a bonus since anything downtown will charge you at least $50 a night. We stayed here while visiting Boston simply because of the price and the convenience to the airport. The rooms were clean and plenty of towels, as well as the beds comfortable. I will say each night we were there (3 nights total), there was a lot of commotion in other rooms and the hallway. It seemed like there was always at least one group partying. As well as one night a group smoking which resulted in us reporting it to the front desk as our room started to smell. It was just crazy that each night there was a different group on our floor partying it up. Maybe that’s a reflection of the price and free parking? The area itself is nothing fancy, it’s not a touristy area by any means and there’s not much around within walking distance. Although we did walk to a quick cafe one morning. The staff was friendly and the airport shuttles convenient.

I booked this property as an Express Deal on Priceline. I was reasonably certain this would be the hotel I would get based on the description of the Express Deal vs. the one where the Doubletree was named and I was right. I needed an inexpensive stay for just the night, as I had to get up early the next morning to go to work out of Logan (I'm a flight attendant). I arrived from my home airport shortly after 10 pm and called for a shuttle to pick me up. I was promptly informed that the shuttle stopped at 10:00. It didn't say that in the Priceline description nor on the Doubletree website. All it says on the hotel website is limited hours. I took a Lyft even though I could have taken the SL1 bus from the airport for free but I needed to get to the hotel, wind down, and get to bed. With the added cost of the Lyft I could have stayed at a hotel I normally stay at downtown.

The lobby just seemed kind of dark and worn down, kind of depressing being in it. It needs some better lighting and natural lighting. It's not like other DoubleTrees I've been to.

At some point, luckily while I was still awake, whoever was in the room next to me slammed their door and it literally vibrated the wall my bed was against. I'm glad I wasn't asleep.

The location isn't the greatest. It's safe but all I saw around it was a Burger King and a gas station. It's pretty much in an industrial area. A couple of blocks away on the way to the airport was a Hispanic district so that might be kind of cool to go to to eat and spend time. But I won't be back here. it's not worth it. There are better hotels elsewhere and better areas around the airport to stay that aren't as depressing as staying here.

With an early flight out of Boston, I did not want to stay downtown, but at an “airport hotel.” When my business associate offered me a ride to the hotel, he looked at the address and said it was not close to the airport. Checking in close to midnight, I asked the desk person how this could be billed as an airport hotel? With a smile, she said that in Boston if a hotel offers shuttle service, it can be titled such. So one learns something every day.

That being said, the room was very clean and comfortable. They run shuttles every half hour and our ride was about 20 minutes. There was no traffic and I don’t know if that was the hour or whether because it was a holiday. There were also flight attendants staying there, so the airlines must find the proximity sufficient. But if you are choosing because it is called an airport hotel, think about your schedule before booking.

Our room on our first night wasn't bad and our service was excellent when greeted, on our return flight we were disappointed to find that the shuttle stops running at 10pm, which was disappointing. After finally getting into our room we found the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke as if someone had been smoking in our room right up until we checked in. I'm sure we could have switched it just seemed inconvenient and frustrating after a long flight and late at night. We only slept for a few hours then got up and left to drive home, it seemed excessive to demand to switch rooms but frustrating that the quality of cleanliness was lacking during these times.

On 8/31 at 12am one of my family members needed a room and I asked the front desk lady that works at midnight if I was able to get a room but I didn’t have my card on hand so I came back with the person who had my card along with the money prepared and asked again she said since we’ve been here we have been making her work difficult and that was rude because we we’re going to pay full price for the other room. Then not only did she say that but she didn’t even bother to help us out to get another room or make any accommodations to our stay since we already have a room with them so one of my family member who wanted to book a room had to sleep in the car. I feel like other people would’ve worked their way around it and helped us out but instead she was talking on the phone while we sat there disappointed in her customer service.

I stayed here twice recently, and despite an advertised 2X an hour airport shuttle, both times I waited over an hour for the hotel shuttle to pick me up. Set a new personal record for me - standing by the curb waiting for a ride! When I finally got to the hotel (about 1930) there was no one at the desk. After waiting a few minutes I hollered "hello" and a clerk wandered out. No greeting, no apologies for my wait.

Despite having all my information (Credit card, Hilton Honors, Address) the hotel puts a $50.00 charge on your credit card when you check in - just in case you charge something to your room.

The room was comfortable and quiet. I guess that's the only good thing to say about this hotel.

Fast and easy check in process. Allows cars in the parking lot for my friends to help me celebrate as long as they did not leave them there overnight.
I forgot my toothbrush and paste and they were able to provide it to me
Checking out the next day over the phone was easy as well.

When I selected this hotel for my trip to Boston, a big consideration was airport transportation. Although the hotel claims to offer it, they fail to disclose that the airport shuttle stops running at 10PM. Anyone arriving after that is out of luck. I ended up paying over $16 for a taxi to the hotel. The agent who checked me in made no offer to reimburse me for the unexpected cost.

The hotel lists a swimming pool. When I inquired about that, the agent at the reception desk said the pool closed at 8PM every night. That seemed unusually early. Most people would want to use the pool in the evening after a day of traveling or sightseeing.

The final straw with the Doubletree was the excessive train and traffic noise early in the morning. Guests certainly don't need a wake-up call or alarm clock at this hotel! I was on the sixth floor. Starting at about 7AM, trains went by about every five to 10 minutes on the track next to the hotel. Each train blasted its horn. On top of that, I could hear every truck, bus, and car that went by on the street below. There was no soundproofing of any kind.

The only good things about the Doubletree were the comfortable bed and the clean room. However, I'm sure I could have found those things at other hotels in the vicinity of the airport along with airport transportation. When I checked out in the morning, I told the reception desk agent about my experience and said I would not rush back to the Doubletree.

Yes. When I stayed they offered to come pick us up at the rental car center if we wanted to return our car the night before our flight, so we didn’t have to deal with returning it the next morning before an early flight.

The hotel offers a shuttle bus on the hour and half hour from outside the hotel reception to the airport and to the airport subway station. From there you can connect to the subway into the city. To get to the hotel from the airport or airport subway, you need to call hotel reception who will then despatch the shuttle bus to pick you up. From calling the hotel to the shuttle arriving at the airport takes about 10-15 minutes. Chelsea train station is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. From there you can catch the train up the coast to Rockport. Chelsea station is a request stop, so to catch the train you need to stand in the marked box on the platform and to get off the train, you need to inform the guard.
