Detailed Reviews
Visited in September 2020 with wife and 2 small boys (9 and 5). We were looking for a low key hotel with a kitchen available that offered plenty of activities and the hotel definitely delivered.
Given that we are in a pandemic I'll lead with the observation that they are taking cleanliness very seriously. There are ample hand sanitizer bottles available throughout and the room was spotless when we arrived. That aside, onto our review.
The hotel is actually a complex comprised of two hotels, a rec center (with indoor pool) and several vacation rental homes clustered together. All are within a 3 minute walk of each other across chase street. Each hotel has its own outdoor pool (corsair is unheated, cross rip is heated). I believe most rooms have kitchettes and you have many options for room based on first/second floor preference, overlooking pool/ocean/parking lot etc. We had a first floor "deluxe" room in the corsair which overlooked the parking lot on one side and extended through the building to end on a second entrance which led out to a short boardwalk to the beach. Although among the most inexpensive we thought these were the most practical offering easy car access, beach access and office access without the noise of people milling about outside (as you would have with pool/ocean view rooms). The area the hotel is located in is very quiet with few public amenities (stores etc) within walking distance. I think it would be ideal for a family with 0 kids or kids under 12 as older kids may get antsy without a "downtown" to walk to. The game room has shuffleboard, foosball, air hockey and ping pong. Some of the equipment is in better shape than others (the air hockey was not really functional). Both pool decks have outdoor showers so you don't track sand into the room. Perhaps the best part of the hotel are the staff with Mark and Sapphire being there most often. Both are incredible hosts and really add to the experience.

We live in MA. We had been stuck home for months due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Things were starting to open back up and we decided we needed to get away. I began to search for a small family friendly Cape Cod resort. After some research I found the Corsair and Cross Rip. It seemed perfect. I had emailed a few questions and received replys almost instantly.
We decided to give it a whirl and booked The Deluxe Townhouse Suite in the Corsair building. The room was spotless, well equipped and very comfortable. We had a full kitchen that included pots, pans, dishes, utensils and dish soap. Our balcony overlooked the pool yet had a great view of the beach. The staff was extremely friendly and all wore gloves and masks. There were gallons of hand sanitizer at every corner and staff was constantly disinfecting high touch surfaces. The guests were all friendly and respectful of social distancing.
The property has less then 50 rooms with 2 outdoor pools, 2 outdoor hot tubs ( currently closed due to pandemic), an indoor pool and game room ( also currently closed). They have a cute outdoor cafe/bar called the deep end cafe which is opening next week.
We had a relaxing 3 night 4 day stay. We succeeded in finding the perfect hidden gem and couldn't have been happier with our stay. We will absolutely be back!!!

We decided on a family vacation at the Cape with the kids and grandkids so there were 10 of us. We stayed at the Corsair. Everyone that works at this hotel were so friendly and Sapphire in the office was so helpful in helping me book our rooms before we got there. It was great having the kitchen in our rooms so we didn't have to eat out all the time..having grills available was nice too. The rooms were clean and if you needed something from the staff they were willing to help you. It was nice having a washer and dryer on site though there was only one of each on each floor I never had to wait to use one the couple times I used them. We tried out the game room also. No one could use the hot tubs because of Covid. The kids got alot of use of the pool but the big plus was having the ocean right outside your door! I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

I sound like a plagiarist because my experience was like so many others: just great! I had a "partial ocean view" value room which meant that I had to sit sideways to get a full ocean view. The room was immaculate with a queen bed, dorm fridge, small microwave, coffeemaker & coffee with mugs and packets of condiments, flat-screen TV and a drop-leaf table with two chairs. The updated bathroom had a new sink & toilet together with white beadboard half walls and black & white subway tile. The balcony had a small table with two chairs and offered a lovely spot for coffee in the morning and a quiet place to sit and listen to the ocean before turning in for the evening. There is daily old-fashioned housekeeping which I also appreciated. Best of all, every single staff member was incredibly pleasant, helpful and accommodating. If I were to criticize something, I'd be lying.

Let me say that I have only stayed at this property just before high season, though I can't imagine any of my observations would be any different during peak times.
This property is really the best of both worlds. An old school property that is nostalgic and reminiscent of places I stayed at in my youth, but it has been updated and maintained impeccably.
Let's start with location. It's ON THE BEACH. And whereas "ocean view" at many properties means you get a sliver of it in your view, here it means a real ocean view. And a very quick drive to anything you might need or want.
The rooms are outfitted with everything you might need. Those with a kitchen are fully equipped, down to a toaster-oven, coffee maker (with coffee packets) and corkscrew. And lots of thoughtful touches including a selection of books. In rooms with DVD players, there are some DVDs. The beds are very comfortable and with lots of pillows. The bathrooms are well-equipped as well and the hot water was quick and plentiful.
The rooms in the Corsair building are different from those in the Crossrip building, offering guests a wide variety of accommodations. The common theme though is that they are all immaculately clean. That goes for the entire property.
And the staff could not be nicer, more helpful, or more genuinely proud of the experience they all work towards for their guests. You come here on vacation, and could want for nothing more than good weather.

We stayed at the Corsair and Cross Rip Ocean over the 4th of July weekend and it was a great experience. From the moment we made our reservation and surprisingly received a call from Tanisha with a five star customer service approach, to make sure we understood the type of room we had booked, since we mentioned on the “special requests” that our 80 yr old mother had some needs. The room was adorable, comfortable for three of us, with every amenity we needed. For the times we chose to stay in, being able to cook on the fully equipped kitchenette was fantastic. The shower had amazing water pressure rarely found these days. Our room was on the 2nd floor with full ocean view making breakfast on the porch a must. From sunrise to sunset, it was just amazing! Housekeeping was done daily and to perfection. The service on the beach was just as great and we were waited on by a young lady (sorry forgot her name) that from one day to the next remembered I am gluten intolerant and kindly made adjustments and suggestions. The hotel is close to everything yet on a lovely quiet neighborhood. We found great restaurants in Dennisport and neighboring towns. Make sure to go to the ice cream shop nearby. We highly recommend this hotel and if the stars line up, we’ll be back to stay in one of your residences next time. You made our gift to our mother even more special.

View+Customer Service=Magnificent. This was our third visit to the Corsair and Crossrip and this time we were in an ocean front room. The weather over Labor Day was spectacular. It was a perfect weekend with an amazing view. I loved to have the windows open and listen to the sound of the ocean at night.
From my initial booking in early spring the customer service is and has always been top notch! Sapphire is a gem and I am happy to share that she is one of the reasons we keep coming back.
I needed to make a change to our earlier reservation in August and was hopeful I would find something before the end of the season and Sapphire did it! She was able to identify Labor Day weekend for us so that we would not miss out and could get our ocean front room.
In addition to Sapphire at the front desk, there are many other contributors. The housekeeping staff are worth mentioning. Our room was available early and Sapphire called my cell phone to tell me the good news. I credit this in part to the amazing team in housekeeping working diligently to turn the rooms over for new guests arriving. Whenever I would see the housekeeping staff they were friendly and welcoming. Always a hello or have a nice day! As for food, The Deep End Café was perfect. My husband and I had lunch on Sunday at the café and each had a burger which were very good. The burger came with potato salad, pickle and chips and they were cooked perfectly over an open flame. The staff at the café were friendly and we enjoyed our conversation with them. I forget the name of the trio at the café but there was someone covering the grill, a lovely woman and a young man from Romania. All great staff and made our lunch special!
Last but certainly not least is Mark. While enjoying the morning on the beach Mark was busy grooming the sand. He also went and asked guests if they needed anything and returned with ice waters for all to enjoy. In my opinion, it is quality customer service that is important when traveling. The Corsair and Crossrip definitely check that box and do it well.
The Mattos Family will see you all next summer!

My family of 5 (kids ages 11, 9, and 4) stayed in room 107 of the Corsair building for 5 nights in July 2022. We were thrilled with the location of the hotel and the location of our room. We loved being so close to the pool and ocean (any room is), and felt that we could not have picked a better place for our Cape Cod vacation. We used both outdoor pools, the beach, and the indoor pool on a rainy night. Our kids loved being able to switch between the pool and beach, without having to walk a long distance, and I felt the same way. The unit was not large but fit our needs, and the convenience of having a full kitchen was a huge bonus. We saved money by making our kids meals and ordering carryout for my husband and I. I had researched staying in a rental house, just to have more space, and decided that the convenience of staying in a smaller unit on the ocean, with multiple pools, was a better option for our family. The location on the Cape itself cannot be beat. Easy drive to all the other towns. I am so glad I made the choice to stay here and if we ever return to Cape Cod, we will not hesitate to stay at the Corsair and Cross Rip again. I should also mention that all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This was our first vacation at the Corsair, and I would very highly recommend it! We rented one of the vacation homes and couldn't have been happier with it! The home was immaculately cleaned and had a beautiful kitchen, which made it very easy to cook meals and stay-in. There were also some excellent restaurants right in the area for take-out or outdoor dining. The Resort had a lovely beach, 2 outdoor pools and an indoor pool and game room. There was even a Beach side cafe. The Corsair staff was very helpful and friendly and made us feel very comfortable with their adherence to Covid precautions. I've been going to the Cape for almost 50 years, and I would highly recommend this Resort!

First off, let me say that the staff was great. We visited after season and I'm sure they'd had their fill of tourists by that time, but they were friendly and accommodating. So top marks there.
Location is also very nice - beachfront with easy access.
However, there were other issues that made us we didn't get much value for the price we paid (about $215/night before taxes). The first impression we got was that the place needed some tidying up (picking up stray bits of paper, sweeping the sand off the stairs, trimming the weeds by the parking lot) and a fresh coat of paint. Our room was large, we had a balcony with a partial ocean view, and the kitchenette was fairly well-supplied, but the fridge/freezer had an unpleasant odor, the room could have used a good dusting, and there was mold in the baseboards in the bathroom. When we went to get ice, we found that the ice machine was broken. Ice (unpackaged) was available from a communal cooler located next to the office as long as the office was open, but the office closed at 6 every evening, so we had to plan accordingly.
Overall, the accommodations were adequate, but again, we felt we didn't get value for the money.

Hi, the resort accommodation check in is 3pm Sunday to Thursday and weekends 5pm. We offer the ability on any day to check in as early as noon and use the facilities while we clean your room. Should the room be ready before the officially check in time you are invited to check in then. We have to give our housekeeping staff plenty of time to clean the rooms properly between your arrival and the last guests arrival. We never know which room will be ready earlier than check in so we don't want to offer a 3pm check in and not have most of our rooms done by then.
Again, you can check-in as early as noon on any day and use our facilities. If the room is not done yet we will take your cell phone and call you when it is competed. This way your first day can be a full day with us whether or not the room is cleaned and ready for you. We also have shower and changing rooms in our recreation building you may use to enjoy your first day with us.
See you soon. Mark (GM)
