We did a spur of the moment trip to Martha's Vineyard and booked this room only 2 days in advance as the island was totally booked up during this busy weekend. What a delight the Ashley Inn proved to be. The owner, Fred, was most helpful in anything we needed. He provided us beach chairs for the day and many...

Well, let me tell you the pros first. Fred, the owner was very personable and helpful. Other staff very pleasant. Breakfast substantial. Great location which enables one to walk into town. Plenty of hot water for showers. Hair blower worked well. Cons. Room not well maintained. Eg, could not use 1 drawer on dresser as both knobs were missing. Wallpaper...

Breakfast choice of omelettes, waffles with Vermont maple syrup or their homemade granola and yogurt as well as fresh fruit and pastries is very generous and all very delicious. The owner was ready to help with any of our questions on bike riding ideas, restaurants. He's relaxed and very hospitable . Rooms are small but clean and excellent showers

My husband and I went for a pre Memorial Day getaway in Martha's Vineyard. The Ashley was a welcoming cozy B&B, 2 short blocks from the main shopping and restaurant district of charming Edgartown. The breakfasts were delicious, especially the "from scratch"pancakes. Our bedroom was very comfortable and I liked that there were 2 chairs in the room. Our host...

The Hob Knob required a two night stay so we decided to stay next door at the Ashley Inn. It looked nice online and the location was perfect. The staff is accommodating and nice but the place needs some repair work. The wallpaper in our bathroom was ripped and there was a hole in the wall. The TV was circa...

Great location, good breakfast, prompt and friendly service from Fred, the owner. FYI to help you manage expectations. This is definitely not a 5-star resort hotel, more like staying at a relative's home. The facilities are charming but not everything is in perfect condition. Yes, some stuff could be updated/repaired/cleaned better and there may be a chip here or a...

Even if we were there off-season you don't expect that the hotel is forever off - season. Have been traveling a lifetime but this was the worse experience. Worn, cold and no charm whatsoever. A B&B that didn't served breakfast! Shampoo etc was half full. Bathroom was dirty, bed linen was not ironed but all wrinkly. Our trip to Martha's...

We stayed over the Summer of 2014. Fred was wonderful. Always willling to offer insight on town. Both Breakfast & Tea Time were always on time, and always warm. We had a bad experience at another place, Thankful Fred had a vacancy and we seen it as we were walking by. We will definitely book here, next time we go...

We did a nice long vacation through Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard, and this was the worst place we stayed at. While it's a good location, and you can easily walk to the center of Edgartown, it is sorely in need of maintenance and a good cleaning. Our bathroom was extremely old and not well maintained - curling linoleum, bangs...

We located the inn quite easily. This inn is a short 5 minute walk into town. It's a lovely walk. The innkeeper Fred was there to greet us as we arrived. We were taken to our private room with bathroom attached. It was a very nice clean room. Their was a plate with some candy on it for us, a...
