Nicely located within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Nice view of the marina and friendly staff were great. They also have a gym and other amenities. Glad we chose to stay for a relaxing night.

For a scheduled trip to work on a boat I own, I reserved on night the week of October 25th, 2021. Turns out I followed the most severe storm of the year, worse than the hurricane that hit New England this summer. Travel disrupted. Power out for thousands, including where I was to work. Another storm was to follow. Conditions uncertain. Wasn't clear I could keep my schedule.
Seaport Inn staff were very accommodating, giving me flexibility. (And, they answer the phone or call you back!) I greatly appreciated this, although in the end I kept to my schedule and didn't have to make any changes.
I've stayed here before, often with my small dog. (The motel is very pet friendly.) This visit as before, the room was much more than adequate and very clean. There's an exercise room with laundry available for guests, which for me could be very handy as I continue to work in the area. New Bedford, with some truly good seafood and specialty restaurants open later in the evening, is just across the draw bridge.
With everything else being highly satisfactory, what strikes me most about this motel is the attitude and friendliness of the front desk staff. Also, compared to some other places I've stayed in this area, which is not long on motel and hotel rooms, the rates are a more reasonable for the quality of room and service, and far better than motels with lower rates where I have stayed.

You can’t go wrong for being on the Marina, but unfortunately that ended up being the only real perk. For starters, the entire town has litter/trash everywhere you look. Upon booking we were told the restaurant and pool would be open, after all this is why they charge resort fees, however the pool was closed two of the three days we were there. Also the Seaport Grill does ZERO grilling, they only sell drinks(outside only) which can be pretty misleading. The “restaurant” was also closed one of the three days we stayed when we were told they would be upon all of the days we were there, and I’m almost certain they weren’t open inside at all!The food for the other two days was from a food truck parked out back, even with that we were told there was 2-4 food trucks and there was only 1. Entertainment seemed to thrive on the weekend which was nice, however there is NO reserved parking for resort guests, with that said… guests to the live music took up all the parking leaving us nowhere to park. One thing that would found concerning was that venue guests were allowed in the hotel to use the bathroom facilities, however they also had access to the entire hotel… a key was not required to enter certain areas, the pool being one of them. This made us quite uneasy.
Also, on the website, it reads that the continental breakfast was upon until 10, but they closed at 9:30 so we missed breakfast entirely. We also saw a couple get kicked out of the breakfast area because they were closing, even after they got their food in a timely fashion.
I have to say, the maids were incredibly kind and friendly. The owners need to be more clear about scheduling, missed opportunities etc. I understand they are under renovations but they need to explain that to potential guests and how that could affect their stay. Their main priority is their outside venue, but they cannot forget those that are staying in their rooms.

My husband and I attended a wedding here and on Jan 4th and I don’t think they ever turned the heat on. People had their coats on almost all night. The food was horrible also. Dried out chicken and hard carrots. We piled all the carrots from the table onto a plate to send a message. The steak had 3 steak tips on the plates. Coffee was good but only Luke warm - probably because the room was so cold. Too bad because it could have been resolved.

Response from JamiF52, Manager at Seaport Resort and Marina
Responded Jan 6, 2020
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. The wedding held here on January 4th in our Ballroom was set to a room temperature of 68 degrees as we do with every event in our venue during the cold months. However, per the request of our newlywed couple and many attending guests the temperature was turned down since many were too warm. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your meal. Please know that in the future if you would bring this to the attention of your server or on-site manager they would have happily tended to your requests that evening. Again, thank you for your feedback and I hope you will visit us again in the future.

Our first warning should have been when we discovered the Seaport Inn and Marina Fairhaven, MA required an additional $100 “security fee.” Our second warning should have been when we noticed signs posted at the hotel touting “live music until midnight” at the property every weekend. Upon check-in we were told by the desk clerk a live band would be playing until midnight on the property and we were offered an apology for the noise right up front. I requested a room far away from the festivities as all we wanted was a good night’s sleep. The clerk (rightly so as it turned out) told me the noise travels on the water and there were no quiet rooms. Our room looked clean and nice but it was an adjoining room and the guests next to us included a belligerent man who continually yelled profanity regarding someone’s sobriety. These neighbors also had a poorly trained dog who whined at the bottom of the thin adjoining door.
Clearly, the management here actively recruit these type of guests by intentionally hosting late loud music events on the property each summer weekend. They clearly know such activities will disturb guests simply wanting to sleep at night.
If loud drunken events are your thing, stay here. If you’d rather actually sleep during the night, look for another establishment. I know we will and never return here.

No masks were worn in any of the public areas by the staff or other guests.
This is an old motel with no breakfast and no elevator.
The room was mostly clean. But the bathroom is worn with some dirt and hair in the corners.
The rate should reflect Hampton Inn quality, but it is not worth the money.

I hired the event's coordinator Stephanie and her assistant Amy to help me plan my wife's 40th birthday party and we pulled off an amazing night. The staff, the food, the stay was a wonderful experience. They helped with hiring actors for an 1980s Murdery Mystery show, we and our guests all dressed up in our best 80s outfits and it was a magnificent and fun filled event!
I have used their private rooms in the past for functions and eat at their restaurant a lot and highly recommend checking this place out for all it has to offer.
A big thanks to Stephanie, Amy, Jami, and to the staff at the Seaport Inn and Marina Fairhaven MA! You're all wicked awesome!

Booked the room for the night. Stood from 4-11pm just so the the kids and us could go swimming and shower, everything was super clean, the staff were all really friendly. The room was ready when we got there and clean. The pool area was really nice had tvs to watch and bathrooms and shower rooms inside the pool area as well. We stood at the hotel two times like this and both times I would give the same review 5 Stars for sure.. last time I left an item in the room and they went and got it from the room and held it for me until I could return to pick it up. Thanks for the great stay..

My recent stay at the Seaport Inn was for a local wedding. Months ago, the couple released to its guests three hotel options for the wedding weekend. After reviewing my options and the price points, I booked at the Seaport Inn. To my surprise, when I arrived at the hotel for the wedding I was informed I was being charged an additional $150.00.
I proceeded to show the front desk my confirmation email with the price I purchased the room at, believing there must be some sort of mistake. The receptionist disregarded my confirmation email and simply said there must have been a mistake made by the Seaport Inn because the rate was $150.00 more. She did not apologize or try to remedy the situation. Due to being in the wedding and all other hotels being booked as it was Labor Day weekend, I had no option but to stay and pay.

Room did the trick: clean, complete and comfortable. We stayed one night in order to be close to the bridges to the Cape, attempting (successfully!) to beat the traffic the next day. So we didn’t care too much about anything except getting a good night’s sleep. We were surprised when on arrival a large sign announced that a loud rock band would be playing till midnight and would be audible from all rooms. The staff were scarcely apologetic. The good news is that we were on the far side (away from the band) and that, in addition to the hum of the A/C, minimized any sound from the band. We slept fine. Only other item of concern to us was that virtually no hotel staff wore masks. We were stunned by that given the delta variant and wore our own at all times in public places. This was a terrible example for hotel guests not to mention a public health risk (especially for the large number of older guests).

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates62 contributions32 helpful votesI'm CKTravelor. This is not my review. I have never stayed at the Seaport Inn and Marina.
OK, perhaps I did. But it was so long ago that I don't remember. I'm surprised that I'm being credited with such an out-dated review.
Thank you for your interest in the Seaport Inn & Marina.
We have a hot tub in our pool area but we do not have Jacuzzi tubs in the guest rooms.
There were 2 queen beds in our room with a sofa that appeared to be a pull out sofa.
The front desk staff are very accomodating and would be able to help with any questions.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much, we highly recommend it.
Our Deluxe Suite rm 242 had a door to the bedroom. The max occupancy for that room is 2 people. The Deluxe Suite rm 245 has no door but does have a seperate bedroom. That room also has a couch that opens to a queen bed as well as a chair that opens to a twin bed in the living room. The max occupancy for that room is 5 people. I hope this helps you if not please feel free to contact us directly @508-997-1281. Thank you
there are certain rooms that have a fridge and microwave but if you would like to request one that does not it is $5 per appliance per day
