My wife and I recently visited for a charity event. Charming location with a great atmosphere. Our dinner was part of the overall charity event and was very good. The ordevoirs were fantastic, plentiful, flavorful with an excellent presentation. I cannot praise the staff enough. Courteous, very helpful and quick.

I was very pleased with my entire experience. I will recommend this location for other events and gatherings.

Thanks to all who made this evening such a wonderful experience.

I will return.

Very disappointed with the room - the Queen Suite especially for the price! First appearance was a bunch of leases as you entered the room directly from outside. The front door slide locked was not functional as someone forced the door open with the lock on and ripped the door molding- not a comfy feeling regarding security. The decor was atrocious - the jute rugs were not appealing and appeared not to have been vacuumed. The drapes look like someone bought the at a discount store, threw them up without ironing. The closet was open - no door, with a refrigerator and a coffee make on top of the fridge. You needed to move coffee maker to hang clothes. The fluffy bed cover was scary - not sure if it was cleaned. The bathroom sink is unusually high and is difficult for persons under 5'2" to use comfortably. There was no clock or phone in the room - yet instructions stated in case of emergency dial 911 ( not everyone has a cell phone- no mention you should have one when staying here).
The bed was comfortable. We have been to Eli's Tavern many times and they have a great Happy Hour. The food was tremendous and the staff was great. Too bad the room quality and decor did not live up to the Tavern and staff.

We’re so sorry to hear that your stay with us was anything but wonderful. While we’re certainly glad that you found the food at our onsite restaurant Eli’s to be tremendous and had such pleasant interactions with our great staff, we’re disappointed that you did not find the rest of your stay to meet those expectations. As we’ve noted in previous reviews, we’re confident that our website photos and descriptions accurately represent the hotel and each of the rooms but we do understand that the decor may not be for everyone.

I booked this inn for a one night quick bday getaway for my husband’s birthday. I opted for one of the king suites bc the reviews of the smaller rooms in the main building were poor. The suites are advertised as being recently remodeled. The room was a decent size with a separate seating area. The decor was a cape cod, beachy, sort of minimalistic vibe. There was nothing spectacular about the room, but it was clean and quiet. We could only see a small corner of the pond from our viewpoint which was a bummer (unit #8). Although the suites were recently remodeled, many areas of the inn appear to be run down. There seemed to be a lot of peeling paint and areas that could use some sprucing up.

The bonuses of our stay were the comfy bed, and I loved the toiletries. There was a ton of closet space and the room was quiet.

The negatives were that the room smelled kind of weird, the room was very hot even with the
A/c on high (it was only 55 degrees outside), and I really got creeped out by the fuzzy blanket on the bed (was it ever washed?). I also was not a fan of the rug in the bedroom. I think the room would have looked better without it.

The continental breakfast was mediocre.

My husband and I give this property a 3. Nothing stood out as spectacular, but it was a quiet, little, relaxing break from the grind of daily life. We probably would not stay here again, not bc it was horrible, just bc there are a lot of other options in the area.

We're happy to hear that you enjoyed a quiet and relaxing stay with us and enjoyed your rooms comfortable bed and the great toiletries provided by LATHER. We are however are disappointed that it did not warrant 5-stars! We appreciate your feedback on areas of improvement and do understand that not all of our newly updated decor will suit everyone's taste. We'd be thrilled to have the opportunity to have you again for another stay!

We came here with family members after reading the reviews and looking at photos. This was our 26th visit to the Cape and we almost always stay in Falmouth.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, we were all somewhat disappointed with the rooms. Our suites were large, clean, and recently renovated. They weren’t as nice as we would have expected, however, based on the price we paid or the photos we looked at.

The downstairs of the house that contains the laundry room looked downright dumpy. It deserves new shades to block the view of its interior and the door should be closed. Otherwise, clean it up so it looks presentable.

The dining room exterior was quite nice. We would have liked to see a bit more laid out for breakfast, however. It was essentially a continental breakfast with VERY SMALL squares of baked eggs and veggies. We expected a little more for the price of our rooms. The staff in the dining room was fantastic and friendly and the best part of the breakfast experience.

We're sorry to hear that your room did not live up to your expectations, as we believe that our website photos accurately represent the rooms and hotel's recent renovation. We'd certainly love if you would give us another try!

The Coonamessett Inn has a lot of character. The rooms have all been redone with high end linens, towels, nice mattresses, pillows, and beautiful Lather soaps and shampoos. There are very nice shades on the windows and everything seemed very quiet at night which we appreciated. We also thought the breakfast was very nice, although many things needed to be replenished more than they were. We also had dinner at the inn and it was just fantastic....wonderful food and ambiance. This is our "go to" place to stay when we want to have a night or two at the Cape to bike and get away.

Unfortunately, there are no onsite laundry rooms available for guest's use. However, there is a public laundry facility located about one mile from the inn, Falmouth Self Services Laundry.
