Detailed Reviews
Went to Great Barrington for a Wedding Party and found Perry House to be very affordable and welcoming. House is very nice beautiful gardens around back also. Roberta and her husband are gracious hosts! Very casual and excellent food! Only drawback is no air conditioning in the bathroom. I would go back again.

We've been staying with Roberta for several years on our annual trip to the Berkshires. Her hospitality is gracious and warm and her blueberry muffins and banana loaf worth coming back to experience. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed however recall that this is a stately old home and not all the rooms have en suite baths. If that is critical for you, address this requirement when you make the reservation.

We came to Great Barrington for one night to hear a concert at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center and were delighted with our accommodations at the Parry House (Parry is spelled with an ‘a’ not an ‘e’). Located in a neighborhood of stately old residences, this lovely home—where Roberta, the innkeeper, grew up—is conveniently located within walking distance of the town’s center. If not for TripAdvisor, we wouldn’t have known about this fine B&B, so I want to spread the word (for more information, see http://www.virtualcities.com/ons/ma/x/max6002.htm).
Our room with a king-sized bed was very comfortable. The private bathroom, though somewhat small as it includes a closet, was more than adequate. Two other guest rooms share a larger bathroom down the hall. A special feature of our room was its screened-in porch, where one can relax and enjoy cool breezes, a sense of the neighborhood, and an impressive view of East Mountain off to the side in the distance.
Roberta and her husband Tom are extremely gracious and made us feel like their personal guests. Roberta keeps her beautiful home spotless and we took pleasure in discovering unusual pieces of antique furniture and knick-knacks. Our breakfast—vegetarian by request—included, among other things, juice, yogurt, cereal, pancakes, coffee, and such a visually aesthetic presentation of delicious fruit that we hesitated to alter the arrangement by partaking.
Having opened their home as a bed and breakfast for many years, Roberta and Tom have been looking to sell it for awhile. Try to visit before they do!
