Nestled in the scenic Berkshires, Vacation Village is lauded for its tranquil location, ideal for skiing and close to local attractions. Guests commend the resort's amenities, including pristine pools and engaging family activities, though some wish for more modern furniture and additional dining options. The spacious, clean rooms are a hit, but calls for updated decor are frequent. While the staff's friendliness and professionalism often receive praise, occasional lapses in service have been noted. Travelers caution about unexpected fees, which can mar the overall value of the stay.

A huge (time share focused) resort. Modern, super clean and mostly comfortable rooms though our assigned upper floor was tiresome to access with large suitcases.
The bath in room 507B was very slow to drain and the kitchen sink plug did not fit the sink drain. The shower head was also not well designed. Typical USA bath / shower single tap for water flow and temp BUT they supply a way more practical separate hot and cold water faucets at the bathroom sink. Who designs these rooms?
Nice towels though.
In a pretty, mountain side location, so very quiet at night. Ski runs for winter are evident across the valley.
There is a $10 USD / night resort fee but our Booking.com quoted price included this.
Our superior, 1 bedroom apartment had a mostly well set up kitchen to allow for self catering. A tiny amount of bench space but a huge fridge. North Adams has the nearest two supermarkets.
The unit had a large microwave that we could not get to work other than at full power. A two place portable induction cook-top too, with suitable pans.
The stay was a good base for at least 3 nights to explore the local region. Autumn was running approx 1-2 weeks late here from our 01 onward October 2024 stay.
Free to access clothes washers and driers are in each building.
Good easy to access stay wi-fi.

We enjoy this resort even though we live only 2 hours away. Despite the additional high non-negotiable cleaning fee charged for each unit, it’s nice to take our mini-Schnauzer with us and not worry about boarding. The two dog friendly buildings are well situated and plenty of walking route options to do a quick out/in or varied loops throughout the complex to get a few miles in. Wooded trail was closed this time, but looking forward to coming in dry weather and exploring the trails.

Beautiful location and spacious units. We had a 1 bedroom with another 1 bedroom lock-off unit for 4 people and had lots of space. Lots of BBQ’s available for guests and they were reasonably clean with a great gas fire pit on the patio next to the BBQ’s with a great view of Jiminy Peak ski hill. We visited local attractions and cycled the Ashuwilticook rail trail. It was a 45km ride on a newly paved trail. Our only disappointment was not being offered a list of things to do, must see attractions as well as and festivals. There was a great musical evening at Tanglewood which we missed out.

Our second visit to this resort was a wonderful experience, with great weather contributing to a relaxing week. While proximity to major shopping areas was twenty minutes or so away, the local venues for dining were very good indeed. With many outdoor options, from hiking to golfing to horseback riding to fishing, there also is Jiminy Peak across the street where seasonal activities abound. While we did not visit the pools or game room, they were extremely well maintained and would have provided options for families of all shapoes and sizes.

Although this timeshare is somewhat dated, the units are clean and spacious. The furniture is a bit worn but the resort has kept up the amenities such as the indoor pool and the attributes that matter in the units themselves such as the beds (comfortable) and kitchens (everything operating well and dishes, pots, etc. all in their place). We rented 4 units for several families and were placed on the same ground floor. It was fabulous for the kids to be able to run between the units and not disturb other guests. It also made family evening meal times convenient and we were able to host several families at a time in one unit, switching out nights each family cooked. The cleaning staff was amazing and we couldn't have asked for a better home base when coming back from the ski mountain across the street.

This was my second time staying at this resort, and I would not hesitate to go back again. The one-bedroom units are roomy and comfy, with a fairly well-stocked kitchen, and my unit was very clean when I arrived. I didn't need to interact with the staff at all during my stay, other than at check-in, but they seemed to always be busy keeping the place clean. The pools are large, and there was never an issue finding a lounger even though the resort was quite busy the week I was there. It's location is great for exploring the towns in the area and there are lots of restaurants within a short drive.

The resort is clean and staff very friendly. There are plenty of supplies in the unit, and requests for clean towels/sheets were dealt with promptly. (Be aware there is only soap provided, no shampoo or conditioner.) BBQ grills are conveniently located around the resort. Both outdoor and indoor pools are nice and always plenty of clean towels. Weather was perfect in September to enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi. The deck on the 2 bedroom unit was large enough for 4-6 adults. Trash and recycle containers are convenient and well maintained. Always felt very safe at the resort.
Would be great if there were a larger, more convenient grocery store.
Only problem is that the toilet and bathroom counters were obviously made for toddlers rather than adults. Why?!!

Our stay was very nice. Few hiccups - a couple of maintenance issues with the condo (vomit on the deck flooring and a small pile of toenail clippings found on the floor behind the leg of the dining room table) and the bed in our bedroom (we had a one bedroom unit with a partial kitchen) was absolutely too small for a couple. We're not huge people and this was a full not a queen which made sleeping not so great. Also for ladies - bring a portable fan because even with the AC cranked to 68 the bedroom gets very warm and if you close the bedroom doors it is very very warm. The bathroom was huge and had plenty of towels, soap and a blow dryer. The kitchen was a partial kitchen and I brought my Air Fryer which came in handy. The fridge was full size, two stove top burners, a nice selection of pans and dishware. The grills came in very handy and actually became a male social event in the evening! Plenty of gas and charcoal grills. The pools were lovely! The fitness room needs some work but it's ok for a week. Grounds were well kept and it was very quiet at night. Plenty of hiking in the area so we loved that. We didn't eat out at all so I can not review area restaurants but I will say lots of veggie stands and small markets in the area. Oh and the deck (once we cleaned it) was perfect for evening cocktails and talking with neighbors. Overall it was a good vacation and we would come back but we would need a bigger bed. There is really no rational reason for that size bed.

Very disappointing stay. Unit furniture and decor were very dated. Kitchen cabinets were worn and several had broken hinges. Cooking pans were minimal with no large nonstick pan provided. Two tiny sample sized soaps in the bathroom with no shampoo or lotion. Scratchy tissues and TP. Community laundry facilities vs in unit W/D. This was definitely not what I would have considered a Gold Crown resort.

We apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay at our resort. However, we are currently in the process of updating some of our older suites. In fact, just this year were able to complete the following maintenance projects: Installed new carpeting and blackout drapes in multiple suites, Upgraded the footbridge to Building 7 with more weather-resistant Trex decking, Added a new grill island by the outdoor swimming pool with three brand-new drop-in grills, Repaired & restored multiple areas of the parking lot and installed new curbing to prevent further erosion. Furthermore, as stated on our resort's website, "The suites at The Berkley, Orlando include a small starter kit, which includes toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, and body lotion in the bathrooms. However, we recommend you bring your own toiletries." We wish you better future vacations.

Our A unit was spacious and comfortable for 3 adults. The bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom were very clean and well equipped. We enjoyed having dinner on the balcony. The cleaning staff and front desk staff were very helpful, patient and welcoming. We appreciated being on the 2nd floor - the building was quiet. We also appreciated having access to disabled parking spaces in front of our building.. We loved the view from our unit and property was well maintained. Overall, a great time was had by all! Thank you. We look forward to returning.

Hello! The decor is New England style but with lots of brown that makes the style dated (and the kitchen has Formica tops). The big plus side is that it is clean, reasonably priced with full kitchen if in the A or C units and good for families with young children. Buildings 13 and 14 are nicely situated. Have a great time
