Denise and Trevor are wonderful ... this was our second trip there...and we plan on making this an annual trip with great friends! This was our first visit to the Berkshires and indeed English Hideaway inn. Both were outstanding and we were blessed with very fine weather as well. The inn run by Denise and Trevor Forbes is everything one could hope for. From the well appointed rooms, ours was the Berkshire, to the most sumptious breakfasts, with a wonderful choice of home...

My husband and I can heartily triple-underscore every one of the lovely and well-deserved compliments made about Denise, Trevor, and their wonderful haven. Delicious breakfasts, cozy rooms, and tranquil surround. And if all this weren't enough, in Denise and Trevor you have the finest hosts imaginable – they somehow intuit and fulfill your needs before you yourself can put words...

Other reviewers have already said it well. This beautiful B&B was a wonderful experience from beginning to end for our 35th anniversary trip to Tanglewood. The breakfasts were amazing and healthy and the room was lovely. Denise and Trevor think of every little thing to make a stay extra special. Their hospitality absolutely cannot be beat. We hope to return...

My cousin and I just returned from a trip to the Berkshires and stayed at the English Hideaway. Denise and Trevor couldn't have been nicer, more accommodating or helpful. Denise called us in advance of our trip to find out our breakfast preferences! And the food was vary good, fresh and healthy. The room was spacious, clean with a bed...

We stayed in the Berkshire room for 3 nights in our travels in New England from Old England. We greatly enjoyed our time in the suite, the glorious lounge offered to guests, and the breakfasts overlooking the garden. Trevor & Denise are wonderful hosts. I search accommodation options extensively before we travel, & my wife and I are pleased that...

We enjoyed a wonderful week at English Hideaway. We already knew of Denise and Trevor as they had organised excellent South African trips for both Dale and I and for our Son and Daughter-in Law's honeymoon. They welcomed us like old friends and we thoroughly enjoyed their hospitality - from the wonderful breakfasts in the conservatory to the wonderful warmth of...

What a wonderful place to stay! We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts, Denise and Trevor. This B&B is a renovated 1780 farm house in a quiet country setting. The three guest rooms are in the renovated carriage house. Our room was comfortable, immaculate and nicely furnished. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Denise was so good about...

In the past I had stayed at more luxurious accomodations in the Lenox area and was unsure what I would find. Friends had recommended the English Hideaway. The location is perfect for anything you want to do in the area. The Inn is charming, immaculate and Denise and Trevor are first class! The rooms are comfortable, new bed linen and...

It's all there: family-like surrounding, yummy breakfast, cozy room, the feeling of being cared for all the time, fantastic scenery to go hiking and cycling, Great Barrington just around the corner, Denise and Trevor as perfect hosts. You can't ask for much more. Thank you for the time there. Love to come back!

“We stayed in room 3 in the Carriage House, which had lovely views of the gardens. The four poster iron bed was very comfortable and the selection of books in the bathroom were brilliant. The air conditioning worked a treat (thankfully!) and overall it was a great room.”
