The room was large and clean. We brought our own wipes and disinfected all the touch points (lightswitches, door knobs, faucets, clock, TV remote) and we also brought our own pillowcases. Room was quiet. Parking lot was pretty full. Hotel is well located for shopping and grocery stores. Not the place to go for Olde Cape Cod, though!
Check in was uneventful. Bonvoy status was not mentioned. No upgrade offered. No late checkout offered. Limited mention of amenity (we qualify for food/beverage credit, we had to pry the info out of them. Rooms don't have free water bottles, which isn't a guaranteed amenity at Courtyard, but other properties do provide that. No laundry bag in room, not sure if that was an oversight or a COVID thing. Did notice they offered prior guest checking in a room on the first floor or second floor, we didn't get that offer. Requested featherless room (allergies) was ignored, both of us woke up congested
Saw lots of cleaning going on in the public spaces, and the b'fast (eggs, strawberries, yogurt) were quite good.

Before booking this stay, I didn't realize there was a Courtyard Marriott on the Cape. Also, it is bigger than it looks from the outside! It was a bit disappointing that there was only 1 regular coffee (and 3 decafs) in the room for 3 people, but luckily the Bistro was open to get Starbucks coffees anyways. The AC fan was way too loud and did not respond to any thermostat changes we tried to make. The TV controls were a bit strange, but we figured it out eventually. (visited 5/27/21)

Gym is tiny (didnt realize until later the picture of their gym is a mirror) and during the summer its hard to get into
You can walk to target/the mall if you need anything however walking to anything else and you are fighting some busy roads.
Would stay again for business but probably not if I was vacationing

A great disappointment. We were only here two nights, thank goodness. The staff was friendly but the room was so bad. The hotel was fully booked when we checked in for the night so we didn't have much of a choice. We appreciated the on sight laundry which was $3.50 per load.
The biggest issue- NOT clean and bad water pressure. The room is old, the bathroom was dirty, bathtub had hairs in it as well as around the toilet. The AC was a big wall unit that was so loud. The carpets looked old. The location is basically on the main road, next to a BIG shopping center/Target. We chose this location as its near the Ferry but would never recommend it and definitely not for someone's vacation for more than one night in Cape Cod.
We told them about our issues and emailed management. They replied that they will speak with housekeeping but not points were offered to comp us or any credits towards our Marriot account. We will need to follow up again.

Please do not eat at this hotel. They claim their breakfast is made to order. The bacon was the hardest bacon I’ve ever had in my life and the first bite broke the back of my molar right off. When I asked how the bacon was prepared I was told it is baked. I think it’s left in the oven for the entire breakfast hours. The potatoes are not pan fried, and they apparently don’t know how to make over easy eggs. Nothing was hot, they don’t butter the toast and by the time you get it it’s cold so the butter won’t melt. When I told the young man at the front desk that the extremely hard bacon broke off my tooth it didn’t appear he took me serious as he showed no concern. I asked that he let the breakfast staff know so others don’t suffer the same fate and my friend even stated he’s not going to tell anyone because he doesn’t care. The woman that checked us in on 9/2 was delightful though, so at least the whole bunch of apples isn’t rotten. Please, just eat somewhere else.

It appears that the quality level for the Courtyard brand has become a very low bar. This is an old Courtyard that is long past its better days. It was a shock to see the brand in this decrepit form. On top of the general condition of the hotel, we were assigned a handicapped room. We did not request one and did not want one. There was no mention of this until we schlepped our gear to the room and set up; leaving us to a big hassle to change rooms. I remember when the Courtyard was a first-rate hotel experience -- that is no longer the case.

Hotel felt like a cheap motel.
Smelly carpets and smelly elevator.
Bad WiFi connectivity. Front desk got defensive when I reported the WiFi issue, forget about trying to address it.
Not even a proper sign for the hotel.
Just the whole experience was very bad. Definitely did not feel like a Marriott

We've stayed at this location before, but it's been a while.
The good: room was reasonablly updated and quiet. Bed was fine.
The disappointing: There was a pile crumbs on the sofa, stool, and desk chair. The bathroom had a significant number of stray hairs. Unfortunately, I didn't notice these when we dropped our luggage off or I would've asked to change rooms. With Covid still around, I wondered what else had been overlooked.
Also, our refrigerator went warm overnight on our third night. We had to toss our food. I told the front desk when we checked out. She asked if a child could've hit the control—we had no kid, and there wasn't a dial. This fridge seemed like a re-purposed mini bar. It didn't even have a tiny freezer for a cold pack.
All in all, our stays a few years ago were nicer.

This hotel has a wonderful staff and a great interior. Everyone we encountered at this Courtyard was excellent! The maintenance man, Kumar, actually saved us from missing our ferry to Nantucket after our Uber driver cancelled on us last minute. He drove us there in his own car! Now that is customer service. The entire staff was excellent but he deserves special recognition. The interior is very nice as were the rooms. We would gladly stay there again .

The woman at the desk was extremely professional, kind, and accommodating. (I wish I got her name). The room was clean, the location was perfect. There are so many great restaurants and shopping options around the area. The pool was a little cold, but still not un-swimable. I would definitely come back!

There was absolutely no issue with noise. The aircraft flying in and out of the Barnstable airport are smaller and you really do not hear them.
