The Marblehead Inn was the first stop on our 10 day road trip round New England and turned out to be a real treat. The building is a beautiful period mansion. It had recently been decorated inside, lovingly keeping the original character and features of the building. The owner - who I am slightly ashamed to say I can't remember...

We loved everything about the Marblehead Inn--the stately exterior that shoots you back in time, the modernized interiors, the near-gothic staircase. Our room (9) had everything we wanted--a sitting area with a flat-screen TV, kitchenette with marble countertops, and a bedroom with incredibly comfortable, firm mattresses. And a lot of silence. The common area always had snacks out for guests,...

My wife and I stayed overnight to reconnect with friends and family in the area. I booked online easily. Jeffrey greeted us cheerfully when we entered, quickly checked us in and took us to our room. He filled us in on breakfast times and info about the inn and area then left us to explore and enjoy our awesome, quaint...

I have stayed at this hotel twice, the first time I had an amazing experience but it was under different management and the front desk person Judy was so helpful and very pleasant. Since its under new management everything has changed. The owner is actually a really nice guy, but Jeff the manager is another story. He rude in person...

I am sorry to read that you had an uncomfortable experience at our Inn. Yes, we have made many changes here and for the most part our new guests have been very happy with what we have done. I am sure there are other hotels which are much better suited for your needs. We are sorry to see you go....

We enjoyed our visit to the Marblehead Inn. Our room was comfortable and well-furnished, with good attention to detail. The common areas and grounds are attractive. Jeffrey was very helpful in suggesting dining options, travel to local attractions, etc. There are clear expectations about noise levels, especially late in the evening. There were a number of nice options in the...

My husband and I took a trip here and had a very nice visit. The inn is very cute and had a charm that can not be described in words. The accommodations in the room were nice and the muffins at breakfast were perfect.

The offering at the Marblehead Inn is commensurate with many very good B&B's--the accommodations, the hosting, and the facilities. We just have two hesitations stemming from our own personal preferences. One of those was the location, and this property is a good mile+ from the historic downtown that you'd want to peruse--we'd prefer to be able to walk from the...

Thank you for your review. I just wanted to point out one detail. You refer to us twice as a B&B. We are not a B&B. By definition a B&B serves a warm/hot breakfast in the morning. We do not as you know and do not claim to do so. We are strictly an Inn (The Marblehead Inn) and I...

We stayed at this B&B just this past weekend and could not fall more in love with it. It had everything you could wish for and more......coffee, tea and snacks were available around the clock......wine hour was my favorite hour....Jeffrey spared no expense on the assortment of wines available....a good variety of delicious wine....this made the experience that much better...

My husband and I traveled back to Marblehead after many years. After extensive research followed by a conversation Jeffery Gilman we felt MHI had everything we needed for a lovely memory making stay. It not only met our expectations, but also fulfilled our desire to find a gem within a gem. It has now become #1 on our favorite inn...
