My partner and I just arrived home from our amazing anniversary weekend. We planned to travel to Salem, Backbay, and downtown Boston! This B&B (17 Chestnut Street B&B) as the PERFECT location. Very easy to commute to all of our stops. This is my SECOND time (and definitely not my last) staying with Suzanne (the owner) who is so sweet,...

I came to Marblehead for a weekend to attend a niece's graduation and was lucky to find a room at 17 Chestnut Street. It is so conveniently located, I could walk to Starbucks and to my sister's home without needing my car. The owner, Suzanne Thomas, was very accommodating and the operation was well organized. My room was spotless and...

First things first. The owner, Suzanne Thomas, is warm, gracious, and very good-humor end. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of the area and can guide her guests to whatever interest they have. The B&B is very attractive. There are two guest rooms, one with a double bed and the other with two singles. The shared bathroom is beautifully equipped and...

Boy, is this review overdue. My father grew up in Marblehead, and moved away when he was seven years old to California. With his 80th birthday approaching, I decided to take him back on a surprise trip to his childhood hometown that he hadn't seen since he was a little boy. When planning my trip, my instincts told me to...

A small B&B, but very clean and comfortable. Suzanne (the owner) could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We needed a cooler for a party one evening, and not only did she lend us a cooler put gave us the ice we needed as well. She took the time to see if we had food allergies and prepared a...

“There are only two (2) rooms and both were very comfortable.”

“It's a small place, but well worth it. The 2 upstairs rooms, Thomas and Powers, have a shared bath, but it's not much of a problem and the price is right. The Gordon room has a private bath and is on the first floor. I stayed in Powers and had no problem with sharing a bath.”
