My girlfriend surprised me by coming here. She proposed to me and the staff made everything very accomidating. Our room was adorable and quaint. The staff surprised us with champagne and roses and congratulated us. It was a lovely place.

We've stayed at Harbor Light twice while visiting our children who live locally. A charming inn with lovely rooms, ensuite baths (some more spacious than others, if this matters to you.). Location is very convenient in the heart of downtown Marblehead. Easy walking to shops and restaurants.Living spaces are graciously furnished and inn staff helpful with directions and generally very...

My boyfriend and I first stayed here for Valentine's Day last year and had such an amazing experience that we decided to stay again during our most recent trip home. To say that Harbor Light Inn is the perfect hotel is an understatement. Our stay (both times) were more like a stay at our homes (and we are from the...

I preface this by saying, my wife and I have traveled the world and have stayed in some gorgeous places.. But we have NEVER been treated this terribly anywhere we have stayed. If you don't appear up to their standards, the staff WILL snub you and be rude to you. We had plenty of money, but we are young couple...

Dear BeenEverywherebutThe, I have to say all of us here at the inn were extremely shocked to read such a disturbing review. I have never witnessed anyone on my staff treat anyone remotely close to the way you described so I am deeply concerned that you felt such a way while staying here. I am also surprised that you left...

We stayed for Halloween weekend in room 35. I chose the room for the king bed a fireplace. To my pleasant surprise, the room was much larger than anticipated. It was amazing. The building is very well kept - from the rooms to the tavern. We spent time in the front room with the fireplace, the dining room, and the...

Our room looked lovely--and was, except for the fact that the water in our tub/shower never got above luke warm for the 3 days/nights we were there. I notified the management on day 2 but nothing changed, & I was told I must like the water unusually hot & as I was departing, wanted me to go prove that it...

The place is beautiful , cozy and gives the feeling on New England. One gets the feeling that this place has had better times. The rooms are very nicely designed with beautiful linen and a nice touch - however the door to the bathroom did not close and the toilet did not flush well. Breakfast is very nicely served however...

Staying here for the third time. We love it there. Beautiful rooms and staff. Best of all a very quaint bar to end the night. We would never go anywhere else when we travel to the North Shore. The front desk helped with nearby reservation for dinner. A must place to stay.

The location was terrific! The room was really comfortable and spacious! The receptionist (manager) was very gracious and enormously helpful. Breakfast was simply lovely, and was tailored to accommodate special needs. There is plenty of parking even though you are in the middle of the Old Town. What more need I say? Be aware, because this lovely B&B is housed...

This was our home for three days and I definitely chose well. Conveniently situated near the restaurants and coastline of Marblehead, this place is plush and has lovely rooms. Creaky floorboards and rickety window sashes make this Inn reek of history. I don't have a sweet tooth but the afternoon confectionary in the lounge area every day is a nice...

We are so happy to hear you enjoyed the wonderful cooking and the ambiance of this historic home. Thank you for the great compliments! However, we did ran out and...
