Upon arrival we where greeted by a friendly staff member, they recognized I was a silver member and presented me with a gift for redeeming my points at there hotel. The lobby and hallways could use more heat it was cold every time we where in those locations. Im not sure how the can operate in the winter the way it...

I've Stayed at this hotel before and was not impressed prior but this put the topping on the cake. Upon checking in the front desk attendant informed me that there was a five dollar parking charge. I stated for what, as there is a large parking lot. She explained to me that there has been abuse from MBTA riders and...

This older Marriott still offers many positives. The hotel is very convenient to Boston through the green line and the Pike. We drove from Maine and stayed to go to the Celtics game. The shuttle took us the one exit to the Riverside station. Easy trip in and back. The next day we hopped on the pike and went to...

Stayed here one night before taking my son on a college interview. Originally booked through Hotels.com but when I called to confirm the reservation was offered a much better deal for the same class of room, saving $50. My good karma ended when we checked in though. Having reserved a Concierge level room (7th floor) we were instead sent to...

Stayed here for a work trip. The hotel is interesting we'll say...I was on floor 2, which was actually down from the lobby. It has a unique set up where it seems 2 floors are lower than lobby, 2 floors or so higher. It is a long property and my king room overlooked the water which was scenic and nice....

Hubby and I have stayed here before but it had about 15 years since the last stay. We stayed 2 weekend nights. The staff was incredible. Every request was accommodated and they were all super friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean. Nice exercise room. If you need a driver to bring you into Boston I would recommend asking a bellhop...

You can get right on the Mass Pike or I-95. It's a massive hotel and has a big business vibe to it. Conferences going on constantly. Rooms are average. They won't pass up a chance to charge you for requests.

Dear rmbj, Thank you very much for your feedback. The good news that I can share is that we are moving towards a more contemporary room feel at the Boston Newton Marriott. We should have all of our rooms fully converted by March 31, 2017. I hope you have an opportunity to visit us again soon. Sincerely, Christopher Allen

The hotel is ok, recently renovated but you can see where they cut corners. The room we were in 601 had random banging all night from above. But it could have resonated from the equipment outside, or the service elevator right beside, or the vending machines right across. So that aside the staff was inconsistent and most we interacted with...

Dear Travelcritic-ca, Thank you for choosing to stay at the Newton Marriott. We are very sorry to read that you heard banging in your room. I can assure you that this is not our standard. We work very hard to provide a high level of service. We are beginning a full renovation of the hotel in early December. We hope...

I enjoyed two nights at a suite at the Marriott Newton (MA) and was extremely pleased by the helpful staff and friendly bartenders. For Boston, the service was very attentive and friendly. The rooms and open areas were extremely clean, and everything worked just fine. The bar area was very open and had many places for groups of people to...
