We really enjoyed sleeping in this hotel - the beds were VERY comfortable, the comforter was warm and soft and the curtains efficiently blocked the morning light. We had a wonderful night sleep. However, some minor things left a bad taste in my mouth. It might seem petty, but I was disappointed to see the size and the quality of...

Thank You for posting a review of your most recent stay at the Newton Marriott on TripAdvisor. We get many many compliments of how comfortable our beds are in our guest rooms. I am glad you too received a great nights sleep. Many of the additional charges are in accordance with the brand as a full service Marriott. We hope...

This was a nice hotel right on the river. I had a nice view and the food was very good. They had a nice gym and a nice pool. It had a lane painted on the bottom but was not 25 yards long. The staff was very friendly and I have no complaints beyond I think the price was a...

Thank You for posting a review of your most recent stay at the Newton Marriott on TripAdvisor. I am glad you had time to enjoy our newly renovated health club. Our prices do fluctuate throughout the year with the demand in May driving all rates in the area up a little. We hope to welcome you back again soon.

View from room was over the river. Mattress was just right. Distance to door out to parking lot was not bad (down one flight of stairs, or if you walk a few more steps then down elevator one floor). Interactions with front desk were satisfying. Would return if need a hotel in town again.

We wanted to be near Newton and western suburbs, so ideal location. The room was MUCH better than expected and not so small for two people. Shout out to Thomas who helped me pick an ideal room. I recommend the 2nd floor rooms with balcony. As I understand it, only the first and second floor balcony doors actually open for...

Thank you for posting a review of your stay at the Newton Marriott on TripAdvisor. The 1st and 2nd floor rooms with outside access are very popular especially during the warmer climate months. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Very near the heart of Boston without the heart of Boston pricing. Nice hotel. Clean, busy but quiet, with a Starbucks! Tripadvisor needs to nix this 200 character minimum. Tripadvisor needs to nix this 200 character minimum.

We stayed here in 2011 and it was just okay. This time we got the perks of being Marriott Rewards members. We had a room on the 7th floor with access to the Lounge, and a view of the river. The room was average, but fine - clean and quiet and nice bed. Small bathroom with one sink. Also only...

Had an okay room @ $147/night + tax, given view of parking lot. They charge an extra $11/day to allow you to park your car there, out in the parking lot (seriously). You'll pay $10/day for using the wifi (if you are not a Marriott rewards member, fortunately I am, but this made accessing the wifi a pain). Really, what...

Average for price hotels are the hardest to review. I don't want to make this hotel out to be terrible, neither do I want it to appear fabulous. Good: Clean, Starbucks in Lobby, quiet, affordable compared to similar in downtown Boston. Bad: overpriced, poorly run restaurant. Room layout poor with towel rack in shower. Charging outlets at desk didn't work....

Although this hotel is a bit tired looking the rooms are in great condition, clean, comfortable beds and in my case, a great view of the river. The staff was attentive. I was at a conference so I can't comment much about the food. It was ok for conference food. Great location.

If you want to avoid the high cost of inner city Boston hotels, consider this property, which you can reach by commuter train four stops out of the Back Bay (25 min and $6.25 each way) to Auburndale stop on the Worcester line. 7 min walk to the hotel through a lovely neighborhood. Trains run every 1.5 hours most days....
