The room that we had was nice enough. Cute antique items and a big bathroom. BUT, beware this property is at the edge of a busy road and if you are a light sleeper it will be a major challenge if you are in a front room which we were. What was particularly disappointing is that we specifically asked for...

We loved Porches. It's within walking distance to great art, great food, and the hot tub and heated ppol are wonderful even in the snow. It's a perfect place to start and end the day and I would definitely stay here if you're visiting MASS MoCA and The Clark.

We attended a matinee drama performance at Williams College, a mere five miles away, so instead of a hurried trip down and back we decided to stay two nights at The Porches. The nostalgia of yesteryear décor was intriguing enough to make us want to experience a stay here. Old framed photos of stern-looking people from the early 1900s, statuary...

Hello, Dave F! We're very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Porches Inn, particularly our decor, complimentary continental breakfast and modern amenities, and also your interactions with our staff. We only wish you had let us know about the standing lamp; we would have turned it on for you (it's controlled by several different switches--complicated, I...

We've now stayed here three times and each time had a lovely experience. Be prepared that the hotel is a series of small historic houses, so the inside and outside are antique in that way, but luxe bathrooms and lovely contemporary furnishings characterize the experience. Take yourself back in time to the residents who would have lived there, across the...

Porches Inn is a unique place, nestled in a quiet old mill town. Our family needed a quick break from city and work...the accommodations are very carefully designed in restored row houses....combining quaint New England with contemporary color and textures throughout the buildings....The added bonus was an evening visit to MassMoca for a concert. The following day off to Williamstown...

Dear dog54, When it comes to R & R, a little live music, Impressionist paintings at the Clark, a variety of good restaurants and the natural beauty of the Berkshires is a combination that's guaranteed to achieve results. It doesn't hurt that we have a heated outdoor pool, hot tub and sauna, all available 24/7. Thank you for choosing the...

We booked our stay at The Porches Inn due to a nearby ski race my husband was planning to participate in. Unfortunately the race was cancelled due to lack of snow about 10 days prior to the weekend and we were unable to cancel the 2 nights we booked at The Porches without penalty so we decided to make the...

Charming row house renovation....delightful to the eye at every turn. The pool and stone hot tub were first class and a real treat in the middle of winter. Beds super comfy, huge bathroom, all very clean and unique. I believe each room is decorated differently with combination of vintage artifacts and contemporary pieces. Nice continental breakfast, pleasant dining area. Loved...

Clean spacious room with a luxurious bathroom. I love the bedding and the lunchbox of coffee and breakfast treats. This second my second trip. I also visited Mass MoCa & had a delicious dinner at Public.

We were on a road trip to Maine to visit our niece at Bowdoin College. Given the length of the drive between our home and there, we chose North Adams as a midway stop over. Plus we wanted to see Mass MOCA and a special Nick Cave and exhibit. We chose the Porches because it was rated number one in...

Hello, Tommy B! You are quite right that our Victorian guest buildings were originally employee housing for the old textile mill across the street, now MASS MoCA. Although our private porches aren't particularly useful during the winter, as you say, when the weather turns mild they're perfect for enjoying a mug of fresh-roasted coffee in the morning or a locally-brewed...

I enjoyed the hotel and the location. It's across the street from many great attractions such as the museum and a brewery. Most restaurants were at the most a 5 minute drive. You could walk if wanted. I had a massive room in the red building. Each room's TV was equipped with wifi so you are able to watch Netflix....

The inn’s 47 rooms and suites are fully wired, offering free WiFi, BluRay/DVD players and complimentary DVDs.
