Arrived two hours before our 3pm check in and was promptly greeted. Font desk staff found our room and allowed an early check in with no problem. Inn was nicely decorated with vintage/period decorations. We went to our room to find a very nicely decorated...More
This past weekend my husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary by staying at The Porches and traveling around the Berkshires.
We are picky travelers--long gone are the days when I felt comfortable shacking up in a triple bunkbed co-ed hostel room! We seek...More
We had a great time here. Our room was quaint and very well decorated. We had a great big bathroom that was very stylish. The whole place had a nice vibe. Every morning we would go and get a free continental breakfast and coffee in...More
Loved the creative re-use idea but found the combination of high price, marginal location and poor quality execution left us underwhelmed. This place is priced like a luxury hotel but built like a project from Home Depot and furnished like Pottery Barn. If that is...More
If you are looking for a QUIET night's sleep at a new, modern hotel DO NOT stay here. Yes, the Inn is a refurbished, retro "granny chic" space BUT the reality is that half the Inn's rooms sit on River Street in North Adams which...More

While we are sorry that we did not meet this guest's expectations, we must point out that our room rates are on par with that of comparable hotels in the Berkshires. We also would love to have had the opportunity to discuss this guest's experience...More
The Porches Inn consists of seven renovated Victorian-era buildings that originally provided housing for the area’s mill workers. Located across the street from MASS MoCA, Porches’ guest rooms and …Morepublic spaces employ a clever synthesis of retro and contemporary designs. The inn’s 47 rooms and suites are fully wired, offering free WiFi, BluRay/DVD players and complimentary DVDs. Porches' healthful continental breakfast is included in the room rate and may be eaten in the Breakfast Room, on the porch (weather permitting) or delivered to your room in the inn's signature metal lunchbox. The inn features a year-round heated outdoor pool, hot tub, sauna, bonfire pit, fitness room and meeting rooms for retreats and special events. Less

We have six separate guest buildings, and our cat, Sabine, lives in the one where the reception desk and breakfast room are located--she is not allowed in the other buildings. We do allow guest pets in a second building, however, so if you were to book a room with us, we would make sure to put you in one of the four buildings that is entirely pet-free.
Concerning breakfast, you could have it delivered to your room, as noted above--there is no extra charge for this service--or we could sequester Sabine in the basement while you are in the breakfast room.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions, and thank you for your interest in the Porches.
