We always go to Martha's Vineyard off season to miss the crowd, but apparently Sept/Oct is wedding time there, so it was still a challenge to find two rooms within several weeks of arrival. We ended up at Nashua House because many other places were sold out, but it was a very nice stay and a very nice price. The...

Great town, warm and friendly staff, clean rooms. It is what it is for a place to stay on the Vineyard. You won't find full service hotels on the island so this is basically the best you get. Rooms were small but decorated nicely. Beds were comfortable. Linens fresh. Cable and Internet were not working while we stayed there. Fresh...

We have stayed at the Nashua House twice over the years, both times after Labor Day when we felt like we needed one last weekend on Martha's Vineyard. The price is very reasonable and the location is perfect (right across the street from the Offshore Ale House where the celebrated Hop Goddess is brewed and the food is good), and...

I was very very pleased with my stay. The location was perfect: close to the ferry and the wedding I was attending this weekend. Nashua House was the best deal I could find; so, I was not sure what I was going to find when I arrived. I was so pleasantly surprised with my room. The rooms and bathrooms were...

Most hotels on Martha's Vineyard make staying overnight cost-prohibitive, but Nashua House is both affordable and charming. Its location in Oak Bluffs Center is very convenient, and the staff is welcoming and helpful. The shared bathrooms are clean and well-appointed, and each guest room has its own sink. We did not find that sharing a bathroom detracted from our stay...

The rooms are small and you have to share a bath but the baths are attended to very regularly and kept very clean and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The beds are single or full in size - no queen sized beds. In the center of Oak Bluffs and very convenient to everything - the ferry, the local...

We've been visiting MV and staying there for 7-8 years. While restaurant prices seem to be inching (or maybe "feeting") upwards on MV (can't recall so many half chicken dishes over $30 and lots of fish dishes nearly $40-"harpooned swordfish"-have people noticed that prices are now Nantucket-scale?)-Nashua House remains a great deal. It's yards from all the action in Oak...

Ideal location, charming rooms, warm service. I don't think you'll find a better deal on the island. Right by the beach, restaurants, transport and information, so you can get everywhere very easily. The only reason it's not 5 out of 5 is because you have to share a bathroom...but even that wasn't an inconvenience because there's so many of them...

I've stayed here three times and it's a great place to be on the Vinyard. Nice location, the people are friendly, and it's about as cheap as you find. Rooms are tiny and you share bathrooms but the free cookies and coffee 24/7 make up for it!

We liked both the location and the character of the rooms - small, but nicely furnished. There was no problem with access to bathrooms/showers either side down the hall, and lots of towels etc. are supplied in the room.
