This is an older tired property past it's time. The 2 elevators made for some packed elevators, not good in covid times. In fact, of all the hotels we have stayed at during covid we felt the less safe here with crowded areas (besides the elevators the cramped breakfast area) and virtually everyone without a mask or a care in the world. In particular the elevators appeared grungy with dirty worn carpeting, not very inviting, the hallways sometimes littered with trash, at least the room appeared cleaner but old and tired. The "suite" is no bigger than a good sized room but chopped up into 3 small areas, living, bedroom, and small bathroom. The decor was old and tired begging for a refresh. The ac was on the noisy side. When we checked in the front desk person said they were doing grab and go breakfast but when we came for breakfast the next day they had a small buffet setup with perhaps half what one would normally find. Breakfast also followed the mediocre theme of this hotel. The hotel is surrounded by fast moving highways making it a little hard to get to until you learn the routes. All in all nothing special here and glad we only spent 2 nights here probably not to return.

The hotel is fine and mostly what you’d expect. I have only one real complaint about the room. They need to include trash cans with plastic bag liner so that you can throw out takeout food. If the trash cans in the room have this and I felt bad having to throw out things like contact lenses and other things that would be hard to clean out of just trashcan bottom. Other than that the room was exactly what you would expect, the pool was open, everything in the fitness center worked, only missing amenity was the hot tub, which was closed for Covid.

One thing to be aware of is that during Covid their breakfast is substantially reduced. It is the fourth hotel we stayed in this trip and the second Springhill suites. All of the other hotels are offering hot or cold breakfast had a variety of options to choose from. This hotel has granola bars muffins or poundcake and yogurt. There were also oranges. It’s probably the least variety of breakfast offered. There was no cereal. There was no milk. There was no juice. Well this certainly isn’t a dealbreaker it does reflect poorly on the ability of this hotel to adapt their offerings for Covid.

I stay at least 1 day a week and always check in after midnight. Your staff member, Dawn, recognizes me and goes out of her way to always ask my preferred floor and side of the building for my room. Though never requested she is considerate and always ensures that the room next door is not a connecting suite as she knows I only have a few hours to sleep. The beds are always supremely comfortable and the rooms always so quiet that you wonder if you are the only one staying there :) I love the mattresses enough that I'm thinking of getting the same one for home ... may I ask the brand?

I booked the Marriott Springhill Suites in Peabody MA for two nights, Oct 5 & 6 2021.. We came back after our first day to find that our room had not been touched, beds not made, no fresh towels, no cleaning, etc. I questioned the desk staff and was told that due to the pandemic, they decided not to provide daily “refreshing” of rooms. They did offer to give us some fresh towels, (but that was it). In addition, the breakfast was very Spartan and not representative of what Marriott used to be.
I don’t recommend staying there and would think that they would step up cleaning and try to maintain a clean, safe and enjoyable experience for their guests.
This is the last time I will stay at a Marriott hotel to receive less than budget hotel service!

The SpringHill Suites Peabody had a broken elevator for our entire stay. That means we had only one working elevator for the entire 6 story hotel.

One morning, the entire hotel had NO HOT WATER. Cold showers for all!!

In addition, there was no notice that the hotel won't clean your room every day unless you request it. So we repeatedly had to request that the room be cleaned. One day, as we left the hotel to do some sightseeing, we requested that the room be cleaned and dirty towels to be replaced. We returned to find nothing had been done!

The breakfast buffet was one of the worst (if not the worst) I've ever had. The waffle batter was so runny that it rendered a rubbery waffle. Every other Hotel I've seen with a waffle machine get this right. The "turkey" breakfast sausage was bland and tasteless. It almost seemed like it was made of soybean. Even the muffins and bagels were poor quality.

And finally, in front of the hotel the fire hydrant was knocked over and no longer connected. If a fire started, i think that is a real problem. In short, this hotel is one to avoid.

The rooms were very large and the sofa bed comfortable. Hot breakfast was back and well done. Room and bathroom were clean. The area with a sofa bed has a separate sink with coffee/tea supplies. The extra sink was very helpful for a family of 4 staying together.

My recent 6-night stay (during COVID) exceeded all of my expectations. My room, and the common area of the hotel were both immaculate, and I am super picky about cleanliness. The staff was helpful, warm and accommodating, and Leah went above and beyond, even leaving a hand-written note under my door to welcome me and offer any assistance I might need.

Grab and Go breakfast in the morning was a nice selection of yogurt, fruit, granola bars, coffee, tea and bottled water.

Location is extremely convenient to all major highways, and there are plenty of restaurants and shopping close by.

I will absolutely be back, and would highly recommend to anyone who finds themselves traveling to the area.

A location that is somewhat worn. I stayed in a room that needed some serious updates. You can check out the pictures. The Mattress was wobbly, weathered and squeaky. The bathroom shower was in desperate need of attention. I'm a Bonvoy Marriott rewards member and this location does not properly reflect the Marriott brand.

We had a small suite which was fine, but it seemed unusual because an approximately four-foot wide, almost floor-to-ceiling, mirror faced the person on one side of the king bed. The towel set was incomplete making us search for a housekeeper to complete the set. Of the three liquid dispensers in the tub/shower, the one for shampoo was either empty or did not function properly. Small details like these compare quite unfavorably with other Marriott properties. However, the room was clean and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
The hotel is located between two major highways. There are a few restaurants nearby, but the proximity to the highways makes walking to the restaurants unpleasant.

What went well... the rooms are new, thats it
When we arrived, we were informed that the pool was out of order, the person there did not offer any compensation neither a transfer to an other marriott hotel.
Also, all wather fountain were out of order, the climatisation in our room to, even the printer of the othel was out of order...
The room was so new that the climatiosation on our second room was not even connected (warning: the electric plug was not fixed in the wall). Also, there were some drape missing and some "after construction" cleanup that was not done.
The breakfast consist of eaten croissant and bacon... not a lot of choice.
We chose that hotel because it stated at the moment of the reservation that it was a maximum of 10min to Salem. In fact, without trafic, its more 15-20min
