I ended up booking two rooms through Priceline for $289.68 for a check in of 1/27/24 to a check out of 1/28/24, this was in celebration of my 15-year-old daughter’s birthday. We have stayed at The Clarion more times than able to count, and being that this was a family favorite, we chose this particular hotel to celebrate this special occasion at for a reason. In room #205, it was myself, my ten-year-old son and my 5-year-old nephew and in room #207, it was my sister-in-law supervising my 15 year old daughter and 4 of my daughter’s 15 year old friends. I had arrived at the hotel prior to my daughter’s arrival so I could set up and decorate the room special for her, as well as a little speaker, a disco ball, a mini fog machine, pizza, wings, cake, and ice cream. Everything was going great as usual, until around 9PM when I started getting “ding door ditched” by some unknown teenagers whom were not apart of our guests, they would knock on my door at room #205, I would open it only to see unknown teenagers run away laughing before I could speak to them. This happened several times, but because my daughter and her friends were next door and having such a good time, I didn’t want to disrupt the night with any complaining to the front desk or such, and just let it go. Then around 11:20PM, I heard pounding at my door, this time I looked out the peep hole to see a different front desk agent, (not the one whom checked me in on 1/27, or spoke to me yesterday morning on 1/28, that agent was kind and unrelated). I opened the door and was immediately told by this agent “I am going to charge you $250 because of smoking weed in the room next door. I got a complaint from another hotel guest that your guest was bothering other guest (this complain was from the teenagers whom were knocking on my door all night I learned later) so I just went to knock on the door to tell them they can’t do that and smoke came out of the room.” I was absolutely shocked at this because I know for a fact they were not smoking, they were supervised the entire time by my sister-in-law, as well as myself going in and out of the room every 20 minutes to check in and there was ABSOLUTELY no smoking of any kind in the room. And when I offered to show the agent the fog machine, which was the producer of such smoke, she refused and said “My manager told me I have no choice but to do this. Sorry!” and then ended up walking away. Then ten minutes later, I receive another knock at my door by the same agent, this time she said to me “My manager Sylvia told me that you have to leave the hotel. Everyone in both rooms have to go and you’re not getting your money back. You have 20 minutes to pack up and go, or I’ll have to call the police. “. After hearing this wrongful accusation, I immediately started having a panic attack due to the fact that my sister-in-law and I came in one vehicle and had the little boys with us and no room for any of the other children whom were my daughter’s 14 and 15 year old friends. These children were dropped off by their parents to the hotel and were expected to be picked up the next morning prior to check out time, it was now almost midnight, and I had no way to transfer these children out of here. The agent said “Sorry, nothing I can tell you except you have to go, it’s not my fault. I didn’t want to have to come ask you all to leave but my manager is making me and said you have no choice.” Again, she walked away before yelling “20 more minutes” before disappearing down the hall. At this point in time, the two small children whom were sleeping, began crying hysterically and were afraid at what was happening, the threat of police and the rush of having to get them out of bed and everything packed up in such a short period of time. Then the children and my sister-in-law in room #207 were also having panic attacks, not knowing how to get home at midnight and having no ride or able to contact parents this late at night, and they all rushed to try and grab as much of the birthday celebration items as possible. Although there was only so much they could carry by hand, and with such little amount of time to be forced out of a hotel this late at night, many of the items were left behind. Now it is midnight, and we have 5 children standing outside of the front door of the Clarion, in the freezing cold, with nowhere to go. One waited for an Uber, ones parents came a hour and a half later, and I ended up finding one of them walking on the highway, attempting to walk all the way home at midnight, and one we still have not been in touch with at this time and have sent out a wellness check on due to not hearing any update on their safe arrival home. I couldn’t even wait with these children due to the threat of needing to be off the property and the 20 minutes of countdown time already expiring. This is such a huge safety issue and concern, it was so dangerous for this forced evacuation at this time of night, never mind the damages from emotional suffering so many had experienced due to this false accusation. Never in my life have I experienced anything of this sort, I ended up calling the next morning and spoke to the first agent whom check me in (the kind one) and she immediately apologized, said it was not okay or acceptable and that I “definitely need to speak to the manager about this”. She also allowed me to come pick up the leftover belongings in room #207 that we didn’t have the time to gather before abruptly being kicked out. This is a warning to all potential guests with children. I am an investigator for the State of Rhode Island and am seeking legal council on this matter, and as of this time, no response from management, was told this was at the hands of a "Sylvia".

Hotel's Favourite
Enjoyed my stay here. It was clean, spacious and the staff were really friendly. We had a two queen room and both beds were comfy. Breakfast was good too. We swam in the pool, which was cold so plan for that. Try the restaurant attached, we had great service and great food.

This unassuming motel stole our hearts during a two week stay as my mother in law went into hospice and then died peacefully. Let me be clear: as someone lucky enough to have stayed in 5 star Taj Hotels, award winning resorts in the Maldives and more, I am no newbie to spending nights away from home. They knew who we were, even at the outset, they offered condolences and bereavement reservation rates to family members arriving later, they printed eulogies, accepted packages. This place is fastidious! Worn, but fastidious. On my many walks with our dog, I noticed how well cared the shrubs are (even in early winter). The many trash cans were faithfully emptied. The breakfast bar was ample but the best was the breakfast lady, very attentive and focused on cleanliness. We have stayed in the Best Western, the Hampton and the Clarion now. We know the competition and the Clarion is the clear winner. Congrats, Sylvia!

Front desk staff pleasant and helpful. Older hotel. not enough outlets in the room. Had to unplug the microwave or frig to turn on the desk light or use coffee maker. Or plugs built into the lights in the room didn’t really accommodate our new phone blocks (too loose). Internet was hard to get on hard to stay on, hard to access. Hair dryer didn’t work. Breakfast had a lot of options and was generous. Lots of parking.

checked in to room that smelled like urine...overwhelming when a/c kicked on. changed rooms after 1st night to what looked like a nice room at first only to find that if a/c wasn't kept on 1 speed that was freezing, the room got very wet, and damp could see dampness on walls and water coming up through laminate floors. had to wipe feet off to get in bed. refrigerator froze everything even almost turned off...dirty dirty dirty place pool was dirty with sludge on walls...Way overpriced and it was blamed on multiple expedia reservations. gross place and manager would not give a break on price that jumped way up night on week ends. This is $79.00 per night place at best. worst hotel stay in my life.

Front desk service was wonderful, she was very helpful. The lobby was decorated nicely for the holidays but truly underwhelming as to the rooms. Our king room was suffocating with heat & dirty. The mattress had no mattress cover, no protection pad, the bed crick every time we moved, which kept us up most of the night. This is NOT a place for us!

There are very few things I expect from a hotel, and the title really sums it up. I want the room to be clean and for the facilities in general to be well-maintained. Clarion Inn Seekonk delivered on both fronts and had a friendly and helpful staff to boot. Definite recommend.

Front desk service was wonderful, room was clean and ready when we got there. We stayed 3 nights to sight see in the area. All the staff was friendly, just what we needed coming from NY where everyone is miserable. The breakfast was more than expected for a freebie, hot eggs, breakfast meats plus the regular continental type choices. Great selection of juices. We also enjoyed the courtyard area day and night, comfortable and private. I would definitely stay here again!

Discriminative manager and very judgmental blame for things I did not do and was told my child was too loud due to her disability that's a lawsuit if I've ever seen one I must thank them for that other than that the food is great and the staff is awesome but the manager she is very very cruel and threatening individual
