It is anice that its on the beach but it is very old looking and more of a motel style. The pool is a bit small, also some of the rooms are very small, but overall not a terrible stay for the location.

Thank you for staying with us at The Surfcomber. We are glad you enjoyed our location but we are sorry to hear you did not like our property. We have many people working hard to ensure The Surfcomber is a well maintained and enjoyable vacation destination. We are constantly reviewing our room offerings, furnishings, the grounds and the amenities to...

First time staying here. We've stayed in many hotels on the Cape. Definitely a hidden gem! Same price as most oceanfront hotels but nicer accommodations. Immaculate. Friendly staff. Good size rooms with full kitchen. The only issues I found which weren't bad but just better amenities. Larger tv, providing beach chairs, new mattresses. Otherwise great hotel. We'll definitely be back!

Hello and thank you so much for your kind review. We are so glad you found us and enjoyed your stay. We welcome you back anytime! I am wondering if there was actually something broken with your mattress because just last spring we replaced all the mattresses and boxsprings, throughout the property with brand new Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses? My...

The hotel is clean, lovely, and beautifully situated. The only problem is that they allow people to listen to music on the beach. Total downer being forced to listen to country music (which I cannot stand) all week, played by a large family group who refused to lower their obnoxious music, mixed in with a dash of dance music being...

We found this reasonably priced hotel on Trip Advisor. It is a small, clean, friendly, family run business, right on the beach. The pool area had recently been redone and they had great chaise lounge chairs overlooking the water, without going on the beach. The beach was big enough for the size of the resort and the water was calm....

We are so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. I will pass on the compliment about the room and bathroom to our housekeeping staff, they work very hard and we are very lucky to have them with us. It is true that Nantucket Sound is the perfect place for young swimmers, with warm calm seas all...

On the ocean almost every room has an ocean view. A very nice big beach area as well as a pool. Our room had two queens beds, dining area w/4 chairs. Also a kitchenette with full size frig. Room was clean and very comfortable. Only minor issue we had was the ice machine kept running out (people were apparently filling...

Hello TCS3675 Thank you for your review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time with us at the Surfcomber. It is true that the busy holiday weekend put our ice machine to the test. We apologize to any guest that was unable to get ice when they wanted it. While it is also true there were a few...

My most reviewed on tripadvisor where to begin.... It's still the most idyllic spot in Yarmouth! The majority of the staff is incomparable, I say majority because when somethings not right you want the 'right' person to be hearing you. Over $250 a night w a 3 night minimum, in Yarmouth, should mean ice in an ice maker, non paying...

Dear Denise We regret that you were not pleased with your last stay at the Surfcomber. We take great pride in our business and employees, working hard to maintain our property and a positive front desk rapport with guests. That said, front desk staff are only human and, during extremely busy and challenging holidays, may not always handle things with...

Nantucket hotel prices are crazy and Hyannis hotel prices are not much better! If you get out out of Hyannis a few miles you will find The Surfcomber in South Yarmouth where the prices are still reasonable. The hotel is right on the ocean with it's own beach and pool. The rooms are very clean and spacious and mine had...

Hello Tempoman, We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us at the Surfcomber and thank you for your informative review. We have always worked to keep our rates lower then our neighboring, corporate hotels, while being sure not to sacrifice any quality and provide our great staff a living wage. Our family has been coming here for over fourteen years. We had tried other hotels in South Yarmouth before we found this gem and by far surfcomber is the best. Rooms are up to date and clean. Sitting on the deck in the morning looking out over the water is beautiful. What a great place to getaway and relax.
