Red Jacket Beach Resort offers picturesque views at a scenic cape location, which is highly regarded by numerous travelers. While guests praise the clean rooms and recent renovations that add a modern touch, some feel that the decor still needs updating and have called the rooms dated. The resort is appreciated for its family-friendly amenities, such as the beach and pools, yet there's a sense that further updates and additional features could enhance the experience. Notably, the staff's attentiveness and warm service often receive commendations. However, some travelers question the value, citing high costs with added fees for parking and amenities.

Let me start by saying we have vacationed here for the past 25 years, so obviously we are happy and enjoy our annual getaway here. This year is different because of Covid19. We were nervous about going, but I disinfected the room and declined housekeeping, so that part was OK. What was disappointing is the front desk personal they were wearing masks and kept lowering them when talking or they were barely covering their mouth (when it should be mouth and nose). That made me uncomfortable and was disappointing. Check in went smoothly as we preregistered, but upon checkout our bill was completely wrong and need to be fixed and the girls at the desk had no clue the manager needed to take over. In addition, some people wanted housekeeping and the housekeeping staff were NOT wearing masks when cleaning their rooms and I witnessed this several times. Again, this is no joke people and the management is not monitoring this enough. There are very few hand sanitizing stations, there should be one at the grill, near the pool and near the beach area etc. I brought my own, but to keep everyone safe, again a big oversight. Lastly, I asked if the pool would be open and I was told it would be and they would limit number of people in the pool at a time to maintain distancing and an attendant would be there to monitor. NO ATTENDANT AT THE POOL. Of course a number of people in pool not social distancing or wearing masks when walking around. I wanted to take a dip but of course I couldn't because of this. It was reckless. They should have no more than 10 people at a time in that pool and give them 10-15 minutes each then rotate for safety. Of course they didn't it was a free for all. So, if you think the pool is safe think again. The beach was where we spent our time because we could distance there and enjoy the view. If you plan to walk on the beach nobody wears masks and they don't even move away as they approach, you must be the one to move. Not the experience we hoped for, but could have been better if management took better protocols to ensure safety. I also did not see anyone wiping down tables by grill with disinfectant or the tables under the tent. Look if you don't care about the virus your good to go. If you care about your safety and others, then this place fell short. The food at the grill was delicious as always. Red Jacket pull it together this virus is no joke.

Dear Jesetsun, Thank you for your loyalty over the years and for your very valuable feedback. We are meeting with our team regularly to emphasize the importance of wearing masks properly at all times. If you noticed otherwise, we are sincerely sorry; please know that we are working to enforce proper protocol. In regards to hand sanitizing stations, we have placed them in high-traffic areas throughout the resort, including at the grill; perhaps they weren’t visible enough. We will adjust their placement to be sure they are visible and abundantly obvious to guests. We are closely following CDC recommendations with regards to limited seating within the pool gates. There are no recommendations to limit capacity inside the pool, and it is very difficult for our staff to determine which guests are traveling together, thus we are encouraging guests to take personal responsibility to socially distance while in the pool as well as on the beach. We are addressing the issue of the pool attendant immediately to ensure someone is always on site. Our team is regularly cleaning high-touch areas throughout the resort and the entire property, including outdoors, is fogged nightly. We appreciate your feedback and will be addressing any necessary issues. We hope you will visit us again next year when we hope covid-19 will no longer be an issue. Sincerely, Hollie Handrahan General Manager, Red Jacket Beach Resort

We did not realize this resort was so large. Based on reviews we chose a riverside room which I did like. It was much more peaceful sitting outside. The rooms are tired and need updating and the beds are hard as a rock, we woke up so sore! Our biggest issue was that apparently “Big Foot” was staying above us and they literally did laps for hours, started at 6:30 am each morning! My suggestion is to get a second floor room so you don’t go through this. The positives are definitely the location, so convenient to restaurants and close to Hyannis. We loved being on the ocean, although it was a bit windy while we were there but nice Adirondack chairs we could sit above and look at ocean. I also appreciated their COVID procedures. They did not come in the room the entire time we were there (unless requested) and left all extra towels, toiletries in a plastic zipped bag in room. Nice having inside and outside pool but we didn’t use either.

My wife and I spent four nights at the the Red Jacket Beach Resort just recently. A well needed getaway during this pandemic. Initially we were somewhat apprehensive about travelling. In the end we were glad we did. We were fortunate to be upgraded to an oceanfront room 267, Thank you Hollie. We had visited the property a few times in the past with great experiences. This visit was no different. The room was exceptionally clean. The views spectacular. It was apparent that extra measures and precautions were taken with the guests health in mind. Hand sanitizer dispensers were visible throughout the resort. I observed staff members disinfecting common areas at various times. All staff members were masked at all times throughout our stay. The resort had discontinued daily housekeeping cleaning, We were certainly fine with that. Any request for extra towels or supplies were met in a timely manner. The grounds as always were pristine. It was nice to see Patrick the groundskeeper who I have spoken with during our previous visits over the years. He thanked us for visiting and as always offered dining suggestions in the area. My wife and I had considered spending another night at the property. We would have but we missed our grandchildren too much. lol. There is nothing that I can say that we didn't like about our stay. We always look forward to visiting the Cape. When we do there is no other place that we would consider. Thank you to everyone at Red Jacket that made our stay a memorable and enjoyable one. Look forward to returning.

We stayed from 7/2-7/5. We had a very attentive staff and all of the meals that we ordered were delivered quickly and were delicious. The resort takes covid 19 seriously and does everything they can to clean and sterilize often. This oceanfront resort was well maintained and family friendly!

We have been to the resort before and the main attraction for us is not having to lug beach chairs, umbrellas etc to the beach as the property is right on the beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas are set out for you.

The staff here is very friendly.

With our first day here, we observed minimal mask wearing in the common areas, a very crowded pool area, loud and well “lit” individuals on the beach and the never ending guest(s) who continue to smoke at the beach!! Yes, there is a medical reason why I can’t be near cigarette smoke. The hotel does nothing to enforce or advertise the “no smoking” rule on beach or property. We had to call the front desk to have individuals spoken to.

The rooms this year are the same - standard hotel room and bedspreads have been removed (good move).

They are offering free continental breakfast but we were not notified of this upon checkin.

I get that not everyone is concerned about covid but have respect for those around you who follow the rules and are concerned.

Let’s see what day 2 brings......

Thank you for taking the time to provide valuable feedback regarding your recent stay at Red Jacket Beach Resort & Spa. We appreciate your kind words about our team members. We're working hard to find the right balance and procedures for the pool area, and this feedback is valuable in helping us evaluate our guidelines. Your comments about smoking are helpful as well. We're looking into ordering more signage to help reinforce our no-smoking policy. Thank you for being so respectful to those around you. We wish we could get all guests to be as considerate. Again, we appreciate the feedback and hope to see you again soon! Kindly, Hollie Handrahan General Manager, Red Jacket Beach Resort & Spa

We just stayed 8 nights at our favorite Cape Cod resort after skipping our regular visit here this past September just being extra careful during the COVID crisis. Our immediate family occupied two units, the oceanfront beach cottage (unit 16) and the large Ranch Home(cottage 5.) While we have been in the beach cottage numerous times, this was our first time in the Ranch Home. Upon arrival, we found the units spotlessly clean and well equipped. Both units have full kitchens, and the Ranch Hope has a washer drier as well. This is perfect for families especially with children. The hotel grounds continue to be beautifully maintained in pristine condition which is a constant over the years we have been coming to this hotel. Particularly beautiful were the blooming tulips around the outside pool area. We enjoyed the indoor and even the outdoor pools despite chilly weather, which were crystal clear and very well heated. With direct access to the hotel's private beach from Unit 16, we of course spent much time on the beach itself, which is a main feature of this resort.
I would like to specially mention the General Manager of the Red Jacket Beach, Ms. Handrahan, who instead of just sitting behind a desk in an inside office, is constantly visible on the grounds making sure guests are happy, supervising her excellent staff and inspecting the various areas of the property. She said hello to us a few times to make sure all was well! Also, much appreciated by our family during this visit were the COVID precautions. All staff wear masks inside and outside, surfaces and touch points can be seen being sanitized regularly and housekeeping can be accepted or declined based on preference. We declined inside daily housekeeping and simply exchanged towels each day and placed our trash outside. A very nice feature was that towels came packaged in plastic which gave us an additional feeling of safety. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend the Red Jacket Resort as the place to stay on the Cape. We look forward to returning for another visit!

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and enjoyed a two-day stay at the spectacular Red Jacket Inn on the Cape. Given the times,It must be said that the resort and staff strictly adhere to all protocols related to Covid/19. And at no time did we feel uncomfortable as a guest.
During our stay, we were fortunate to occupy an ocean front room with balcony and were able to enjoy the sound and magnificent views of the ocean.
Although we had great weather, the indoor pool is always available in the event of rain.
With the weather still relatively mild, very comfy lounge chairs are available after a walk on the white sandy beach.
The restaurant offers takeout and food orders are turned around very quickly.
Should you want to venture out, Hyannis is a quick drive and offers a multitude of shops and restaurants to visit.
We will look forward to returning to this great venue in the future.

Loud parties late at night, not enough parking, not enough for kids to do, very average food, too much chlorine in the pool and all for $500/night. We made reservations many months ago for 3 separate rooms which were supposed to be close to each other. But they split our family up instead. Both nights we were kept up by loud parties and fireworks outside our rooms. They had activities for kids on Friday, but nothing on Saturday, why not? Last year the food was sooooo good but this year it tasted like a high school kid was cooking it. Also, the amount of chlorine in the indoor pool was enough to whiten teeth(kidding, but there was a lot). Also, there was no maid service without a special request each day to housekeeping. For the $500/night we paid per room, a lot more was expected. It's a shame Red Jacket has fallen so far.

This is not a resort, it’s just a hotel by the beach with swimming pool. I spent $800 for 2 nights just for a second floor riverside room and the view was nothing special. At checking I told the young lady at the front desk that the next day was my birthday and anniversary and ask her for recommendation for an upscale restaurant around the area to celebrate your special day. She dismissed me like she was afraid to talk to me.
Secondly, 95% of the guests were not wearing masks at the poolside and were not socially distancing, I didn’t see any staffs reinforcing these protocols.
The beach is nice and the ground is well maintained.

We can’t begin to thank the dedicated staff of Red Jacket for creating a wonderful experience for our family! Our summer trip to Greece was canceled because of the Covid catastrophe, and we cautiously booked a getaway based on previous good experiences here. The staff went above and beyond practicing Covid safety protocols. Our room was immaculate every single day. The property was also spotless, but the most impressive aspect of our stay was how indefatigably committed the staff was to ensuring a positive guest experience. We witnessed the staff members go above and beyond with cheerful responses to every request. I hope they know how with every beach umbrella they drill, cup of coffee they pour and ice bag they deliver, they are giving their guests a happy summer memory - much needed in 2020. Thank you! And we’re in love with the resident wild bunnies!
