I had a weekend booked @ the 1720 House scheduled for the weekend of the 2017 WMVY Annual Chili-Fest. Due to work schedules being changed, Over 2 weeks in advance, I had to cancel the reservation as we would not be able to stay those 2 nights. I checked my credit card statement and I had been charged for 1...

I like original with authentic service and charm. 1720 is exactly that. In Vineyard Haven, with an amazing Inn Keeper, who's care is simply outstanding. You won't regret this memorable stay. My wife and I arrived and were immediately made to feel at home. We were offered a glass of wine and made to feel welcome. Our room was charming,...

This bed and breakfast is a charming place to stay. It's conveniently located very close to the ferry, and downtown Vineyard Haven, making evening strolls into town easy and delightful. The house itself is charming and cozy, and the staff, Sharon and Rhonda, made sure I had everything I needed to make my stay as relaxed and convenient as possible....

I have waited a while before sending this review in an attempt to be fully objective. MV is obviously very busy in August and it was extremely hot at the time. 1720 although quaint needs some updating. Just because a building is 300 years old doesn't mean that it cant be fitted with comfortable beds( mine had a plank of...

This was the perfect B&B for us. We have 3 (almost) adult children. The Americana Room sleeps 3 and has its own bathroom across the hall. My husband and I were in the Garden Room with our own attached bath as well. Air conditioning was an added surprise. Beautiful and quiet. Perfect to bike (we brought our own) to beach...

The 1720 House was easy to find and located in great proximity to town, shops, wonderful restaurants and the ferry/water. First impressions of the room were very good - clean and inviting. Abbey was lovely and Lucinda was a wealth of information which we truly appreciated - from our Beach Road dining experience to special stops on our journey home....

Not only was the home inviting with its original architectural details and antique furnishings, but the staff made it a personal mission to welcome us and to ensure our stay on the vineyards was divine. The staff recommended restaurants, gave us updates on the latest venues on the island, and enlightened us with island lore. The inn is an excellent...

Very comfortable and updated. The place is charming and very laid back. The owner and staff go out of their way to accommodate and provide you with an enjoyable stay. Location is excellent on the main road one block from town. The shared bath situation worked because we never saw the other party.

Charming historic bed and breakfast in a quaint neighborhood. The home has lovely antiques and modern conveniences. The home is a few steps from the harbor, the bus transport, and island shopping. The owner, Abby, was on hand to personalize my visit. She went above and beyond accomodating my many needs and venue requests to ensure my vineyard stay was...
