As always, another great stay! Owners are great and room is spotless. We have been coming for several years and the experience is always the same, fantastic! Location is close to downtown so if you need anything its available.
We stayed here on our way to Mackinac Island and our stay was wonderful! The place is well kept, very clean, well lit at night, and the owners are wonderful!! We would gladly recommend it to anyone traveling the area!
The owners are very nice. Very comfortable and very clean. Looked like it had all been redone. It was nice to have regular pillows and not the huge ones that break your neck. We will stay there again when we are in the area.
We were most impressed with our stay at Outdoor Inn. The rooms were super clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, the towels soft, and everything was in working order. I accidently left my pillow and the owner was very kind to mail it back to me. My only suggestion is to offer a way to have ice.
This is our 4th time staying at Outdoor Inn. We love this place. We are a group that comes to Baldwin to hike and then kayak the Pere Marquette River. We then drive to Reed City and ride bikes to Big Rapids, have lunch and ride back. We have done this for 8 years. We have always had a good experience with the previous owners, but Brett & Millie are outstanding! First when I was confirming that they had a gas grill and picnic tables I asked if there was an area that I could clean up my BBQ tools, Millie said that they would provide the tools. I told her that I have a special spatula that I use and she said that she would wash it for me. I next confirmed that they had a fire pit. They provided dry wood, charcoal lighter and the gas match. We arrived on Friday Millie was just cleaning the picnic tables off for us. They added 2 new composite picnic tables this year. Brett brought out some cardboard to help start our fire. They kept asking if we needed anything else. Even offer to bring out another grill for our group. As always, the rooms were spotless and welcoming. That being said, this are caters to fisherman, canoe and kayakers, ATV’s and sportsmen in general. It’s not the Ritz. But they have 32” flat screen TV’s with a ton of channels and wi-fi. Comfortable beds, microwave and decent size refrigerator, a coffee pot and a table with 2 chairs to eat at as some of our group did for breakfast. Just a really nice, relaxing setting with great hosts. We will back next year!…
