Our family was looking for a clean, inexpensive place to stay the night. Northwoods Lodging exceeded our expectations. Rooms were clean and came with microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge, Dish TV and free wifi. Pool was warm and clean, however was only three feet deep. Towels and chairs provided at pool side. Free continental breakfast is served in the snack...

We were looking for a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced place to stay. Northwoods fits all three requests. The rooms are rather small, but very clean and great bedsThere was good wireless internet connections and dish TV. They provide a snack room where there is a continental breakfast. Threy provided cereals, fruit, coffee & tea, juice and pastries. It was...

We come to the area every year and always stay at Northwoods Lodging. Amanda, the manager treats us like family and the rooms are always super clean. Even with the motel being older, they work hard at keeping it up. The pool is heated and well kept. The breakfast bar has enough choices to start the day. Last year we...

We met the owner upon check in. He was a very nice gentleman (Jim) ... very friendly. On check out we worked with a woman (I assume his wife ... I did not get her name). She was very friendly and asked about our stay as well as how well the air kept our unit cool (it worked very well...

This is our third visit to Northwoods and the room is comfortable. We always stay in Room 12 because it has a full bath with tub and shower. Some of the rooms here are shower only. Bed was comfortable and room had microwave, frig and coffemaker as well at wifi and TV. We ate breakfast here only one of our...

If you want to enjoy the beautiful Sleeping Bear lakeshore and the lifestyle of M22, staying in the Northwoods is perfect. It is a short distance to Glen Arbor, Leelanau Peninsula, and Traverse City. Crystal Lake is across the street. The rooms are comfy and clean. We have stayed there many times alone and with groups of family members. Very...

I took my son and a friend for an Up North weekend of outdoor adventure in early July. This charming little hotel right on US 31 had a room with 3 beds (my son was thrilled to not end up on an air mattress per usual), with a full-size kitchen table. The room was clean, had a microwave, flat screen...

During a week-long trip traveling thru the UP and the northern portion of lower MI, this was the smallest, least-well furnished and most expensive room that my mother and I encountered. I booked based on previous reviews, but was very disappointed. The owners are friendly and we did enjoy watching cranes, a green heron and other waterfowl out our back...

We picked this place based on other reviews on tripadvisor.com and we were not disappointed. Booking the room was easy and Amanda who took our reservation was warm and friendly. We also felt very welcome at arrival, though we arrived late in the evening. Our room was nothing fancy, but was very comfortable and most importantly, it was clean. The...

My wife and I have stayed at other places in the Beulah area and have paid twice as much as we paid at Northwoods and were not as satisfied. We really appreciated Amanda who checked us in, cleaned our room, and became our friend. For the price you can't beat it. Sure the bathroom was small, but it was very...

“Ask for a room in the back if your concerned with road noise. Hair dyers at front desk, just ask. Request a room on the second floor facing the wetlands and deer watch!”

“They seem to have traditional old style motel rooms as well as a number of different room layouts in the newer areas of the facility. Our efficiency was literally just a few feet from the state road that travels by so there was some traffic noise, but it did not disturb our sleep or keep us from having a good time. We did not have a pool side room, but you may want to ask about options for pool side rooms because they look nice too.”
